The 993GT2?

Domster reckons it's Satan's own Volksviggen so I'm sure it redefines automotive panic.

Difficult question, really because in many ways, I have a passion for the 928; a big, unapologetic, gas guzzling paradigm of GT brutishness. Delicious.

Then again, the Boxster revolutionised the brand philosophies to date (racers excepted) with it's mid engined layout and re-energised the Bundesbank coffers via staggering commercial success. Porsche's F355, perhaps to some extent?

As for the iconic 911, well there's pretty much anything you fancy on the menu and for me, it would probably be either the thing I've already got, Dazren's X50 job or Uwe's GTR750 Dragonspurter.

"993 GT2" was the name of the race car as it first appeared but the road homologation saw the beast renamed as the "993 GT", without the numbering.
(I'll come back to this if I can find back the piece of newspaper talking about it...)

959 for being ahead of it's time.

Currently the 750bhp Nurburgring weapons from Herrs Ruf, Gemballa and Techart are just awesome.

Quite, your honour but honestly now - could you live with it's unforgiveable cloth tweedy interior?

AHA!!!

:geekjacketon:

959's came as standard with a triple colour leather effect on the lower seat. The tweedy stuff you refer to is probably the chequered fabric they used to fit in the early 80's on 928s and 911s as standard.

:geekjacketoff:

1978 924 2litre auto with tartan trim and light brown paint, with the added bonus of attractive rust streaks and best of all a set of wolfrace polished chrome alloys ha ha I can hardly hold down my lunch at the thought of it!

If it were a TV show it would probably be an episode of "Inspector Derrick"
