Difficult one VS, but a 993 C2 for £20k less is not an RS....not that far away though to be fair! The money spent on a C2 to get it near to RS spec is more or less lost at resale.
I sold a 60k mile RS last year and to be don't think it would be worth any less as an 80k mile car assuming it was maintained.
To my mind there is quite a bit of hype around RS in the last few years, but apart from being a good car the lack of depreciation and even possible appreciation? certainly helps to justify the purchase, maintenance is reasonably cheap as you don't need to spend money trying to improve it

I've got RSR's already which i'm very happy with (4th set for 4th 993!), but the ecu upgrade looks nice as i only ever use Optimax/V-Power anyway...
Did you ever have RSRs on a 993 turbo? If so how did they sound. I've heard mixed reviews about them on the 993 turbo.
Paul, agree completely, but for 16k miles a year a C2 with decent suspension upgrade and sports seats is a cheap alternative to an RS, and with air con and the ability to use the 3rd seat if necessary is practical too.
Well, while i am tooling round North Carolina on a TL1000R or in a hugely lifted Jeep i will contemplate my options...

They were the only ones i sent back - same noise as muffler bypasses, but slightly quieter. Didn't like muffler bypasses either. Eventually got MOD500's old techart 100 cells and sports boxes, that sounded good but still nothing like a n/a 993
silver, forgot to mention, i was at Tech9 once and saw TB's car being driven down the road, that was the best sounding 993tt i'd ever heard by a country mile. Think that was a race spec Cargraphic system, but if you pop onto Rennlist i'm sure you can ask him. Think MOD's got a similar set up now...
Well i've just sent out half a dozen e-mails to apologise to people, but i'm keeping my car.
Now i just have to sort out the HID's, Bilstein HD's, M033 or M030, do i do anti roll bars as well or not, do i go for a pair of GT3 seats or more along the lines of Recaro Pole Positions, what about a remap, etc.
I'm back!
