I've just booked.
I hope there might be an opportunity for a passenger ride in a mk1 GT3 and a 964RS if anyone's kind enough to take me out for a few laps. I'm looking for a swap next year and would like some experience of both cars mentioned.
Any offers kindly appreciated. And if you wanted a few laps in a 968 in return you'd of course be very welcome.
Cheers,
Will

ill happily take you round if i get to go chum
Cheers. Your car's exactly the sort of thing I'll be looking for later next year. So I'm not going to be the person to buy it, but it would be a good benchmark for me to measure others against in 9 months time.

I shall be there in the sprint car. Some early winter testing is required!! The Zanzibar rocket is a tad on the loud side and definately not welcome at Bedford. So if you see a leery orange 924 Carerra GT looky likey heading for the scenery in all kinds of disorder, i apologise now.

Come on Tif nothing to worry about in your Scooby. Spare a thought for those of us with only the GT3 on semi-slick tyres. Rain is good for practising smooth driving and helps build confidence and technique for those lovely dry days of summer.
PS Wot time are you meeting up/setting off and where??

I'll be there, however a word of warning picked up from elsewhere
"By the way, if you are planning on doing a day at Bedford and you haven't got a hoover for an exhaust, forget it! They have got so strict it is unreal. Less than half that turned up actually didn't have any problems with noise.
The drive by is now 87.5db and the static is 95 at .5 metre instead of 1 metre now"
that was last weekend.

Concerned by the last post, I've just checked their website and rung MSV.
There are two noise tests. First your car will be subjected to a static test, in which the noise level is measured 50cm away from your exhaust pipe with the engine at 75% of maximum rpm. The reading must not exceed 101 dB(A).
Secondly, and more significantly, you car must comply with our drive-by noise limits. The noise emission from your car must not exceed 87 dB(A) measured 20 metres from your car, which shall be accelerating maximally at over 60mph.
By phone, they tell me that the Bedford noise limits have not been changed.
Looking forward to it
