Maybe it hasn't got a service history because:

1st service - 6,000 miles (in 2002)
2nd service - 12,000 miles (in 2003)
3rd service - 18,000 miles (in 2004)
4th service - 24,000 miles (in 2005)
5th service - 30,000 miles (in 2006)

Then it gets re'pod & suddenly appears back on market with only 20,000 miles on it ?

A lot easier to bin the service history than to explain the mileage.

Binned.

Just doesn't make sense that someone with a 110k car wouldn't pay for a £1k service IMO.

But that info wouldn't be that hard to track down and would add value to the car. So I'd have thought either Henry or it's last owner would have pieced that together and in doing so add thousands to it's value. As they haven't, you have to assume it's much worse.

However, just to stress, I don't know anything about this car. I don't mean to post negatively about it as someones trying to make a living out of selling it. Just giving MHO. If I was in the market for one, I'd certainly be very interested in investigating for myself and making a more informed decision.

When you figure out I sold mine earlier this year for £55k with about 13,000 miles, proper service history and a years OPC warranty, this one doesn't look much of a bargain to me.

He had the car for a few years but really wanted a 996RS so he p.exed his gt2 for the beautiful RS that Henry was selling. I am given to understand that the GT2 is a straight car. Seems like a bargain.

I don't know who had it before my friend but i know that the car has been running fine recently and that he sold it to get into an RS rather than because the car was a bad one. On that basis it's a bloody bargain.

You won't get an immaculate, low mileage Full main dealer GT2 for that money.

Perhaps. But it seems you would for £5k more:

Although I guess that may have been the part-ex price jdh1 got for his, so should be compared to the part ex price your pal got, rather than Henry's retail price.

First reg 25th July 2001
4 previous owners
Last change of owner November 2005
Engine no. 64120674

Don't think its lonmans old car as his went up at auction in July'06 (with 16,000 miles on it, hmm scratchchin) & therefore would surely have had this date as the last change of owner, would it not ?

I think that's fairly conclusive.

Has Henry taken on a liability?!
