Has anyone had there Porsche Broken into electronically?

My friend also in Richmond warned me the other month that his 997 and his mother in laws BCGT had been electronically opened and had the contents stolen. I went out this morning and find the same thing with my Aston. Expensive coat gone out the boot and other things. I have seen this happen in Gone in 60 seconds but didn't realise it was available for any old criminal.
Before i ring Aston i just wanted to know if any of you have experienced the same thing or know of someone who has? Porsche told my friend it wasn't possible and Bentley pretty much told the mother in law she was lying as it wasn't possible. Before anyone asks YES the car was locked.

When I first got the Cayman I found myself 'accidentally' opening the boot / bonnet after locking and walking away.
That was down to the button being far too sensitive so when I placed in my pocket, it activated.
Worst was at Le Mans when we knew there were theiving b*stards about. Locked the valuables in the car.. woke up and the bonnet was open. Fortunately nothing nicked, but *really* annoying.
Dealer says that's a subject of many complaints - Porsche have no fix.
That was down to the button being far too sensitive so when I placed in my pocket, it activated.

Yep, they are all "rolling code". the only way you could do it is posssibly if you had insider knowledge of the way that the code indexes. If you're that bright then I dare say you could earn more money using your skills in a legitimate manner then nicking peoples coats of their back seats.
Statistically speaking you are far more likely to have forgotten to lock the car or to have pressed the button inadvertantly.

I admit i have been guilty of forgetting to lock the car at times but iv had a faulty door lock so i have been checking it. The other thing was that my friends had been done in the same way Bentley and Porsche same night but about a month ago could they both have left there's open as well(maybe)? Thanks for clearing up the question about rolling alarms i had thought this to be the case now, so even if someone was next to me and picked up my code it would be different next time?

The more i think of it though, Church Road isnt excactly the next street to mine. Whats the chances of us 3 leaving our cars open and the same person/persons walking past at excactly the right evening/day.?

Is there a mobile phone or tetra mast anywhere locally ?
I know that in a certain car park at the Trafford Centre in Manchester the tetra mast interferes with the car remotes with 'odd' outcomes. Normally the AA/RAC end up towing the car far enough away so they can start the car.
It is very unlikely that someone has worked out how to guess the codes to unlock the car and if they did it wouldn't just be your jacket they nicked.
Doesn't the AM use the Volvo key ? or is that just the V8 ??

I agree, it's also possible that interference from elsewhere is stopping the car from locking despite a key press.

The police are now due any moment and since this has happened my girlfriend pointed out that on Sunday i did go back and physicaly check that i had locked the car. Im not near any telephone poles or anything else that look like an obvious disturbance.
It just doesnt make sence. Im going to speak to few other car owners in my street and the other v8 owner(common) in the next road as if they can do mine then his should also be a target.

handy gym benefit includes car parking cool so your probably the v8 vantage with black number plates?? Lovely looking motor /makes mental note to remove sunnies and cds from car tonight (esp my chas and dave greatest hits dont want some fkkr nicking that classic!)

Thats me and thanks. You and the dark blue 996 owner do very well to keeping those cars looking nice and clean puts me to shame really. Thats black cars for you though. Do you live round close to the gym then? Maybe we should take this somewhere private, starting to get off cars a bit....ahemmm ahemmm

Silver hides dirt so well trust me it was a state ... black cars look good for approximately 2 seconds after an extensive polish .. gotta love black tho ... Theres also a blue cayman up the road and a silver one in the gym car park. Mind u ive seen a gallardo in there and last night a black 360 was parked outside the pub .... lush
