More excited than I should be Veyron vs. Ruf CTR

We are going to Hockenheim for a trackday of a friend of a friend, there will be only 10 or 12 cars, one of which is a Veyron...

And also (i didnt know this) but Hockenheim has some unused straights (about a 1km in length) And we will be doing some impromptu drag racing, some of the cars will be:

SLR
CGT
F430
CLK DTM

So we will head over with the r turbo and the CTR. Now i know i will be spanked by the Veyron, but i swear i will get it all on video for your viewing pleasure!

Saturday cant come soon enough!

Sounds great Adam.

They do actually run proper drag events at Hockenhein, including Top Fuel Dragsters at an event called Nitro Olympics every year, it's one of the events on the European Top Fuel tour. If you ever get a chance to watch, do so, watching Top Fuel drag cars go from 0-300mph in 5 seconds is one of the most impressive (and loudest) automotive spectacles on Earth!

Superb. Hope to see a full report plus the vids and piccies.

BTW, try and get a good look over the CLK DTM. Limited production of 100 cars and very little written about it in the motoring press unlike the other cars.

Daz- Im extremely interested too, though i am unsure how the car will be as it is meant to be a track special car, with a sloppy 5 spped auto, interesting non the less

Ok....Veyrons are quick. Really really quick.

Ill make a proper post soon but heres a brief outline of what we got up to yesterday.

We took both rufs to hockenheim
We encountered a mass of supercars
The rag racing was rolling starts over about 500m, we raced the rturbo against SLR Mclaren and SL65 with 700PS. We raced the CTR against the SLR and also the Bugatti. I have video but im an idiot and the settings were on lowest resolution but its still pretty good...

It was an incredible day.
