Not being a man of means such as your good self, I can't afford one this month, old boy.

Good for you because they are shit..if you guys who havent wasted 2k on them dont want any advice from someone who has wasted money on one fine..keep buying because the dealers will love you. They are artificial, add no performance and make a 996 sound like a nova gte.

Ever considered Prozac, KayC old son?

I think KayC is a breath of fresh air. Reminds me alot of Ray Calvo (an American version of Kayc who used to be on Rennlist). To be honest, too many owners waste loads of money on pointless mods - which don't improve the cars at all - and then they complain about depreciation!!

Anyway, keep up the banter boys - its very entertaining!

There are a few of us that have had the pse and not been impressed. Its a bit of a load of noise and no action to be fair..as i said the nova with a 7 inch tail pipe sounds great to the 18 year olds..but doesnt add performance .

What would you go for as an alternative that doesn't invalidate your warranty then ? Is there such a thing ??

Im not sure, but please listen to a Pse and see if you think it sounds right..I think a pipe like Milltek,Tubi etc that actually work have to be favourable..?Pse very artificial in my case(a bit 430 ferrari'ish with the fake baffle).

I got mine for this reason. I didn't want anything to invalidate the warranty. Have a listen to one before you buy. I think they sound good. What part of England are you from ?

Was only asking what the PSE was like knowing Woogie had his done and I'm about to. I do agree the sound is perhaps not organic but as much as I loved the Tubi sound I was very worried about the warranty issue. PSE is £1,400 Tubi £1,100, £300 for peace of mind is worth the extra for me personaly. And I doubt I'd notice the claimed BHP extra of the Tubi. Knowing my luck I'd get the Tubi the engine would blow and I'd be selling the house to pay for a new engine.

Plus your insurance would go up for a tubi as its a mod. My PSE came with the car as it's Porsche approved

If you can get a PSE fitted for 1400 quid that's very cheap.

I am with you all the way kayc, sorry boys, won't be fitting that particular bit of kit if Im ever tempted to get a 996.
Porsche UK must be laughing their jolly socks off if people buy it for a cheap fifteen hundred quid.
No wonder their profits up to 15 squillion.
No offence but Holy Saxo....

Edited to add " oh look at me.."

Sounds better live. Through your PC speakers it probably sounds naff, especially if you have no bass .

BTW is it a must that if you own a Porsche you must wear a Rolex. I just saw your pic stuttgart . I sat next to a couple of owners at ace cafe Saturday both wearing them and even I have one too

I know they're a bit naff in some eyes, and not to everyones taste,[similar to the PSE] but they sort of stop you looking in jewellers shop windows. The added advantage is that at 40 metres they actually do what they say on the tin.

I may have a picture of your car somewhere if I haven't posted it already, which specimen were you in saturday morning ?
There was a beautiful green one there [CEZ], and a few others up against the wall just PM or post your prefix and Ill send you / post it up.
Please don't take my comments personally, they are definitely not meant that way.
Best Wishes
Paul

I'm with kayc on this one, sounds very artifical. If pressing the button gave you 25 more bhp and the sound was a result of it then fine, but really its nothing more than an expensive boy racer mod.
