RE: 993 Ruf Turbo R

Jezmondo - good point; I wonder, if you put one of those digi-cam support frames astern, how nifty things might turn out? Would need an extra long power adaptor from the ciggie lighter (freed up by the removal of the Bel 550 [assuming no GATSOs on track ]) but other than that, a small dwarf should be all that's required to ensure much 'In-Car DeR' boll*ck talk.
Domhausen - I trust the legend from the munching zone continues it's preposterous quest for additional firepower? I nearly traded fatty in for an M5 recently (such is the depreesh on these buggers) but thought I'd let 'em really drop for a while yet...in the meantime, came across 'Racing Dynamics' who can turn a boggo M5 into a snarling AMG queller for £3.47. Heard of 'em? Sounds interesting. Any good?
Toodles.

Have heard of Racing Dynamics, but don't know much about them. My BM has an earlier variation of the M5 engine (m60 not s62) so anything they can do to that, they can do to mine!
If M5 engines weren't so temperamental I would be tempted to whip one out of a crashed one and install it in the 3. However, a supercharger makes some sense (I can use my B10VVN plate!) and I will also get RS suspension courtesy of Schnitzer. M3 brakes, final drive and Recaro interior would finish it off a treat.
Cheers

It really does sound quite special and I look forward to hearing it fly over at some point.
Thing with them thar E39 M5s is that when they're in the same price cateogory as Rayleigh Chippers (i.e. soon), I do believe they'll achieve a sort of Porsche 928-esque critical mass value and whatever misgivings there are, (brakes, for e.g) can be easily addressed.
They are going to be utterly irresistable, I'm afraid.

All you need are one of the excellent mounts from our friends at B. Hague

Go on - you know it makes sense as an enduring memory of popping your track cherry.
Oh, and I demand an invite to the Charity Royal Premier screening.

You're a genius, Mr.C; a veritable colossus of the organa mentalum and I salute you accordingly.
I'm sure I can find something therein to cope with the rigours of the day and hopefully produce a work worthy of comparison with the landmark opus 'Last Day of Cerby' vignette.
Juices away!
