In the right hands the car as new for 40k would be a bargain!
How much would a 73rs be worth now if it had had accident damage in the past?
I still think a fortune in fact it would probably add to its value if it made good history.
Ok OK its no 73RS maybe it never will be but is still an RS and now or in the future its still a lot of car for the money.

I'd be effing astounded. That looks like at least 30k worth of work in the hands of a friendly indie. At an OPC, I'm sure the bill would be more like 50k plus. I'm guessing of course, but my usual formula is being applied in this instance - tot up what you think the new bits will cost, add a bit, then double it for bits you didn't think of and bits that cost a lot more than you thought, then multiply it by 3 for tax and labour.

I'd agree. A good indie would want at least 30k for that.

The shell's twisted too - the drivers door won't shut.

Mind you, bagsy the spolier.

Greedy sod. I want the rear bootlid. Though I suppose I'd settle for the remaining exterior mirror, the steering wheel, seats, harnesses and gearknob. I'll pay a monkey, arf a pony and a donkey for the lo' (is that 800 quid in English?).
