OK say if you owned a racing team i(i dont)Say you repaired 996 and 997s every other month some worse than this, say you got all the parts at trade and there was no labour costs becausec you did all the work then 10k isn't a fart in the wind figure
Give or take a few k it would and could get done if the add reads correctly.

If it was 20K i'd have his arm off, 30 is a bit stepp but the rebuild job isn't as bad as you'd think looking at the pics, the worst problems are the front inner wing/slam panel, and the rear wing.

That is assuming things like front and rear bumpers are available at sensible money. And that doors and front wings aren't carbon or anything silly.

Front 'boot' lid is fibreglass and needs changing. Looks like the O/S door needs doing as well as O/S wing front and rear. The rear engine covers for these cars are £5k alone (over £1k for the carbon rear wing) so if that lot is damaged you can kiss goodbye to your £20k repair estimate in parts alone.

I also suspect the front O/S suspension is damaged so at best will need re-alignment etc.

No way this car is worth £30k IMHO

Steve

Edited to say : it looks like it also needs four new front rads (water + A/C on both sides) and they aren't cheap either

The chassis will be screwed. It's only worth what ever a spare interior, gearbox and engine go for. The rest is junk.

Oh yeah - you have me there. A donkey is 143.88 in new money, isn't it? In that case, I'll actually be paying a monkey, arf a pony, a donkey, 'arf a parrot and an 'ows yer faaaa-ver for the lo'. And yes - I'll expect change, thanks. I love cockney haggling. I always think I'm getting a bargain as I'm actually being robbed, so everyone's happy.

Passenger airbag looks like it went off. N/S front is banjaxed as well, and there may have been push-back into the N/S door. Essentially, I agree with the comment above that it's really only salvageable for spares and 30k is ''avin' a larf' unless that's what the spares are worth.

Do you really think that anyone who buys this is going to put carbon parts on this car?
Come on if you really wanted to repair it to factory spec then buy a proper car.
Who wants a 50ishk Rs v-car now?
If it was my car my money i would get that job done economically and be happy because if i really wanted an authentic car i wouldn't be looking at this

This is ebay we're talking about though, it'll probably sell.

I used to buy and sell Apple Macs on there. I took two mac laptops in part exchange, one immaculate and original, the other had been stood on and the screen smashed amongst other faults.

Seeing as the screen was a couple of hundred quid, cost to me, I expected to get next to nothing for the broken one. Immaculate one £400, smashed one £380.

I'm sure there's some idiot out there who'll miscalculate the repair costs and go for it.

Not necessarily, my old Celica looked far worse after a high speed impact, body jig showed nothing wrong at all. I've seen far worse put back on the road, though personally I wouldn't stump up £30k for that, even doing the work myself...

Magic Torch - as you seem to have the gift can you shift my 8 year old low spec powermac that's been sat in it's boxes in my mums loft for the last few years hehe
