One for sale on here,

I was under teh impression RUF only made 28 of these and they were all yellow?

Has anyone got any idea if it is a yellowbird resprayed or legit?

many thanks.

There's a green one and IIRC a white one knocking about as well.

I'm sure AdamT or GuyR could confirm.

Beautiful car all the same.

This car is NOT a Ruf chassis numbered car. But was built at Ruf from a 3.2 donor, as were many when new shells dry'ed up. I was once good friends with the owner of it. Nice car, shame about the owner.

it appears to have the rear wing flap of the early cars, do all RUF's have this?

are you refering to the NACA duct on the rear wing? if so these were only on the prototype I beleive. Ruf found the idea did'nt work. Production cars did without it. There is also a silver "touring " spec car with no roll cage in the uk to add to the other known ones.

IIRC the rear wing NACA is exclusive to the car belonging to Alois Ruf himself. It is the car they modelled in the GT4 computer game.

Does anyone know how much do the real deal go for when available?

The 28 were made in a number of different colours.

Sam, don't think this is too bad value if it's one of the 28. Seem to remember seeing mention of a yellow one being for sell in the Channel Islands up at £90K.

Someone on here please do the decent thing and buy it!

I dont know this car but it is remarkably similar to my friends car, I have never seen this car or heard of it. Must have been tucked away.

Also i dont know why the seller said "not at the 1,4 bar it was designed to run at"....i dont know of any CTR that would run at 1.4. The engine is designed for 1.0...

all the best

I went down to PP sales last after the Ace Cafe meet to see that car. Its in Lower Sydenham. I e mailed the owner about having a viewing, but unfortunately the car had a flat battery, and was parked at the back of the garage. I may go down there this weekend for a nose around, and a few decent jpegs.

By the way Jeremy, that RS2 looks a bit good.

Really - seems cheap - any idea of when it sold?

A swedish company had one for sale - ex France blue - sold recently but had been (turbo) rebodied etc...Adam knows more about that car. There's a yellow one in Guernsey for £90k and a green one at a dealers in the UK for about the same - I think it's the car pictured in this thread.

This car seems good value - presumably if RUF confirm its bona fides, the lack of a RUF VIN shouldn't detract from what it is?...if he drops it to £50k I'll buy it yes

Thanks. I'll have to bring it to one of the Ace meets sometime - an honorary Porker estate.

I don't know about honorary, IIRC they were built at the factory in Zuffenhausen, that makes them Pork !
Easily the best colour for one.
Try and make March, I'd love to see it and I can't make Feb, I'm in Frankfurt that weekend, at a Pig clinic !
[Nothing to do with Pork as we know it though ]
