unfortunatly it looks like the airfix car driving boys are bored with fixing their cars all the time and decided to have a play.

This is getting way off topic Mr Sleepy, we were having a sensible discussion over proper engines in Porsches and you have reduced it to an argument over spelign dicabilities. Shame on you. tongue outtongue outtongue outtongue out

can we have a more interesting conversation about proper gearboxes?

I see you use the G50 in your airfix car, couldnt you afford the pork engine to go with it?

wink

tongue out nope, shes a reasonably solid engine, runs well in the hillclimbs. hehe Theres no GT2 in the world would keep up with it on the loose stuff wink On a circuit, well now thats a different matter isn't it. Though I expect with stiffer suspension and sticky tyres it would do ok there too. Completely different car to a Porsche but just as capable at what it does.

Sounds pretty nice too coolhttp://www.fastestmaori.co.nz/ has a few video clips on it.

Not sure what sort of torque its puts out, but its a 3.0 twin-turbo flat 6. 700 bhp is a lot but being a rally/hillclimb car its tuned more for torque than power...

Incidentally, this one puts out 750 bhp from a 2.0 flat-4 but is a bit temperamental, has snapped cambelts halfway up the hill in a few events.

^^^ ummmm.....I think you will find that this post started as a pi$$ take, and we are definitely in the thick of pi$$takery now.... Please dont ruin it by seriously suggesting a Subaru engine in anything... even a Porsche.

Dude...someone else suggested putting a Sub engine in, I suggested one which would be suitable. I then responded to comments/questions about it.

Besides, don't you have some handicaps to mock or something? tongue out

The proper engine is the one it leaves the factory with, as opposed to the stone age technology you happen to have under the bonnet of your, erm, I suppose it could be called a car...
