Think I'm going to miss out on my ideal 996 unless I can shift my M3 quickly (1998, black, gt3 kit, the alloys I like and great condition).

Changed the price to £18,950 which is an absolute steal and the ad has now been up for a couple of days - so how long does your experience say it will take to flog this motor - a month?

Guys doesn't want part ex - otherwise that 996 would be in my garage as I type :'(

So come on guys how long has it taken you to sell your 911s in the past ???

I've only ever part exchanged my cars so have no idea how long it takes to sell a PHENOMENAL and IMMACULATE car privately (ok those two capitalised words are part of my sales pitch) ?

Should I post a link to the ad - but then don't want random phone calls from you untrustworthy so and so's wink

PS ANY INSPECTION WELCOME

PetrolHead, I actually have your ideal spec car at the moment - a'99 Basalt Black C2, black interior, FPSH, OPC warranty, 60K miles, factory fitted GT3 kit (with the right wheels). Is in very good nick bar stonechips and even those aren't too bad at all.
Wasn't looking to sell and, whilst I love your M3 am not sprogged up yet so not interested in a part exchange thanks, but if you shift it and want to make me a silly offer to prize it from me I'm all ears smile

Cheers,

Chris

PS - this is pretty much the worst time of year to sell a car so I'd expect the market to be slow.

I could give you a trade bid if it helps you get the 911 you want? Less money than selling privately, but less hassle/risk and quick cash, which may make the difference between getting the 911 you've found or missing out on it....

Hi I'm in Kazakhstan and was wondering if I could have the car inspected by my mate from Latvia? You could drive it there for him to look at in 11 hours.

Trade price - so how much would that be ? I know I should have this up at £20k but want a quick sale so don't offer me anything under the asking price now wink !

How about allowing test drives on the BMW if they provide proof of fully comprehensive insurance for your car?

They could arrange that through their own insurer for a day or through one of the plethora of online companies offering day cover.

I would have thought most people would want to try a car for themseleves before spending nearly £19k on it - at least I know I would.

Sounds like a good idea - I'll amend accordingly.

So TheGoose - give me a figure and let my dreams be realised!
