I can't be sure - did a search and this came up....

http://www.pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Is this the same car by any chance? The PCGB thread makes interesting reading too.

Butlet's put it into perspective. Is this car any better than the ex Willie Green Rubystone car in terms of originality? How many original cars are there left out there that haven't had panels or paint?

This car has been repaired by TECH 9 not from someone from down south, as I have said its a track car and is not perfect.

Great thread and has maybe saved someone from buying an "interesting" car. Dont get me wrong, it may have been recently turned back into perfect condition but i think potential buyers need to know any info some may have on a car.

Yes the reg is J542 TVS.
Just routine servicing.
Because of the interest in the car.

This is a drivers car not for hiding in a warm dry garage, I have had good fun in this car using as intended; see for yourself come drive it......
I think you have had a lot of interest to determine if it was the car we all thought it was....even I emailed you.

Not sure that your £5k shouldn't have gone the other way if nothings been done to it since 2006. Lots of people walked away fast at £25k...why do you now think its worth £35k?

If you get it then brilliant....I may just hang on to mine a bit longer wink

You could answer three questions which would whittle down your potential audience to the true buyers of this sort of car, I would guess:

i) Is the reg J542 TVS?
ii) Have you had any remedial work down to the car since 2006? What and by who?
iii) Why the £5k hike?
Cheers BR. Those were my questions had the guy ever responded to my email.

I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE TECH 9 REPAIRED THIS CAR...the body panels were all over the place....maybe they repaired it on its first prang ..what about the others....

Because he will have to repair it properly, be honest about the repairs it has had done, to the people viewing it (I believe it is ilegal to knowingly retail a car that has sustained major damage without divulging the information to prospective buyers) and then make a profit after, all he is in business you know.. Circa 20k seems a fair price..

Guys sounds like some history here we are unaware of but regardless some of the comments are a little harsh.

The cars 30k not 50k and described as Track use.

10k increase in value since 2006, whats wrong with that then ?

I have never seen the car, and do not know the seller, I find the forum great for finding out the truth about cars for sale but dont see the seller has done much wrong here bar uping the price by 5k which agreed is a little naughty, but he openly says (or does not) in the add what the cars like.

i for one am not personally saying the seller has done anything wrong...!!!!!!!!!!!!;........just been honest about the car..like i say i have viewed it...i have seen better condition race cars with nicer body lines along with door gaps etc probably with less oil leaks !

Not suggesting for one minute that it is worth 35k, (if you could live with giving the dealer best part of 10k you may be better off with the pink one at 32k and higher miles that is available)I hand on heart rate them at about 20k it is well documented that I am no lover of the looks of these cars, my point was the mkt seems to think a 10k increase since 06 as about right if not a little low.

Hi Keith ..... your comments may well be justified and are accurate I am sure, just that the fella never said she was a mint one owner car.

As these are now 40k plus or 50k in Dessies little head :-) 30k didnt seem to bad ..... if you like that old stuff !! :-)

I feel bad for the seller, he advertised the car at a fair price awaiting enquiry and inspection, as for a trader assasinating a car on a public forum and then proceeding to make an offer, it beggars belief rolleyes
Hopefully someone will buy the car and continue to enjoy it on track.

Is a public forum now your place of business?......I just don't think it is a particularly good precident to set, where every car which comes up for sale is discussed on here with the view of buying it cheaper.
