Compared to cars changing hands privately it is a bargain assuming it all checks out

I stopped dithering and have bought the 911V car, it was too good to miss!!
I loved the GT2 that I test drove at RPM last year. Such a sense of occasion and so much going on even at low speeds, and then the afterburners come on. Holy ****. Amazing cars.

Seems like there has been some buying activity taking place in the 996 GT2 market, GT2luv's car sold, plus the 911box car, 911v car and also the caraholics one all in the last couple of weeks.

Very few now available on the classifieds, time of year or have people started to realise what a great drivers car they are?

Beginning of track day season. Cars like these move quickly. Come the back end of autumn they will probably be a few up for sale. Well, this is what I was told by a well know Porsche dealer.

Surely no one is buying GT2's to use on the track, what the widow maker, will kill you on the first fast bend, I don't believe it!!!!! LOL

Bloody love driving mine, I'm now looking for a gold chain and medallion to go with my hairy chest. Your right they do move quickly especially when the loud pedal is pressed....

Didn't you get the Gold medallion and hairy chest with yours? Check in the boot, its next to the tool kit thing. Only thing is though it makes you look rather German.

Never really pressed the loud pedal on mine, I usually just lightly touch it. Scary things happen when you press it right down smile You get some kind of weird thing going on with your face and it makes you turn into the ever smiling Daniel Riccardo. Who would want that!

Wheels and carbon aside (which can be transferred), how can you differentiate a 996 GT2 Mk.1 from a Mk.2? I'm assuming CO levels are different which would show up on the V5? What about chassis numbers etc?

ECU will be different so could take a look at the part number on it. PCM was offered on mk2 model also.

Different paint colours also offered on the 04 model year which includes the mk2.

Could give your friendly OPC a call of course as they could confirm from chassis number or get a free certificate from Porsche of original build details if you have PCGB membership.
