Agree that market will decide also, 997GT2's at £135k make the 996 GT2 look a complete bargain! As I've said it's no hardship if it doesn't go as it will be very hard to find one as good.
...unless you are prepared to go LHD. The 997 GT2RS starts at £135k at the current exchange rate. For example this and this.
Add £50k for a low miles garage queen though. and another £20k if you want to buy it from Porsche GB over here (still LHD). Right hook cars are rare as unicorn tears and much more spendy though.

I think the car gets spoilt more than my wife ! Its cost me a bit this year i.e. full freshen of the complete suspension, new arms, top mounts etc. I just like it perfect as its such a special car to own. Pccb's are going on next month finally so I will be selling the PFC's that are like new as the car truly does not get hammered about unless Im out with Perry and the boys which cannot be helped

I have to be honest and say that Slippydiff gave me an amazing deal which I am truly thankful, but to buy them new they are major bucks. New your looking at around £16k, used on eBay if your lucky to find a used set from LA Dismantlers there still around the £6k mark. I'm not going to track the car or generate enough heat on the street to get the dreaded delaminating soRegards

Should last a long time. I just think they look trick with the Stainless hubs and bobbins behind the wheels.
Im sure this topic is going to start a long thread, there is a company in Munich called Sicom that are heavily involved in the GT3 race series amongst other classes.
They offer a refurb service which seems very reasonable compared to purchasing new disks. I have tried to find links to anyone that has gone this route but it seems a new
product so not that much client feed back. I found a chap who has a 360CS which had it done with no problems. I think they take the face of the disk off and use a harder
Ceramic process than the OEM process. I have thoroughly researched into the frequent failure of the PCCB system and it seems to happen when the pads are less than 50%. There is a
different construction of the pad at 50% which can score the disk face apparently. I think warming up and cooling down for track work is vitally important.
Im always in and out of Germany so i am planning to pop by Sicom as I'm keen to understand the process.
That's interesting.
My PCCB pads are almost new but of course I've no way of knowing what has happened historically.
I could never justify buying new PCCB rotors (just the fronts, rears are good), but I'll keep an eye open in the classifieds long term to see what comes up. Very interested to hear your findings on the refurbishment process.

The rears off my 996 were as smooth as new when the fronts failed, I had them boxed up in the garage and sold them for about £500 6 months after selling the car. Looks like I may have let them go a bit cheap
consul, I don't know how you drive your GT2 along Oatlands mate, I drove mine that way the other day and nearly took my fillings out, you need a bloody Defender to drive down there

996GT2, It is so bad I actually get down it by driving in the centre of the road at 20MPH ! I have bitterly complained at the state of the road and being in Elmbridge its a disgrace.consul, I don't know how you drive your GT2 along Oatlands mate, I drove mine that way the other day and nearly took my fillings out, you need a bloody Defender to drive down there

Was it the same location on the Mk.2 CS? M3ni mentioned his was located internally.
don't know on the mk2 CS. There is no 'internal' cut off inside the cabin, just under the bonnet - you locate it outside the bonnet when racing so it can be easily pulled - inside the cabin wouldnt make any sense. Here is pic from my car:

As shown on the kit picture, there is a red kill button with a plastic cover inside the car for driver's use. The external pull cable is for marshals to use if the driver is not conscious or cannot reach the internal button. I believe it's the same kit for all CS cars. I have the user's manual if anyone is interested.

Don't have that on mine, in fact don't have that console either. Here is pic from my car:
