Here is my GT2 at Castle Coombe last Autumn with Mike Wilds demonstrating how it should be done! Might be my large arse that made the wheel lift though!
Getting it back from JZM next week as been there to have new KW / Uniball suspension, Alcon CCX carbon brakes, sequential gear shifter, Cup steering wheel, BBS Cup alloys and slicks. Should be able to use the full power now from the M600 Manthey engine conversion that previous owner had carried out. Silverstone 1st Feb if anyone is playing. Nearly 30 track days booked already. Game on!

+1 - shows how stiff the chassis is!

Mine clearly wasn't chavy enough so I went with gold smile
Love the tone, I'm thinking of either going gloss black or gold.

Its just banter, I'm enjoying all the photos, even the clunky ones shoot

My favorite clunkster

At the time, I've bought a DVD of Uve Altzen's Nurburgring qualification lap in this monster. Very scary! Too bad is was as unreliable to finish endurance races.

Lovely, lovely GT2. Am I right in assuming they are 19's? I'm not trying to take anything away from the car but the rims, in my opinion which means jack st, spoil the car. And I mean that as a compliment because 19's usually work but yours is so nice it just "spoils it".

Apart from my general dislike of the unfortunate 996 front end I've always thought the wide bodied 996s look uncomfortable around the rear arch and this one (despite being an interesting example and thanks for sharing BTW) looks particularly odd and ungainly
The only problem with that angle is the wheels could be a bit wider, or a spacer added, just for the wheel to sit in the arch better.

But otherwise, the 996 GT2 is the best looking 911 ever.

There's hardly any spare room running standard geo in the rear wheel arch, they are rolled to help clearance but it's stil tight, so I don't think spacers could work as the tyre would rub.

They run a 12" wide rear as standard to help get the power down.

...perhaps, but even this looks so much better:

They only look like that because the car is running more camber than standard.

Standard negative camber ^

That look's not due to spacers, that car's running 048's or 888's, (JFP can confirm which) both of which are which are square shouldered tyres compared with the PS2's.

Both of the 997 GT2s at OPC's have both disappeared from classifieds, the Leeds OPC one has also gone from their website, must have lasted all of a week! Both at around £150k and £155k...seems demand is picking up for these.. smile
