I know its not a GT2 thread BUT I had a quick flick on 911V website this morning and found this, best Colour Combination for the MK1 so going to have a look
on Fri.
Has anyone owned one of these before, problems, reliability, general feed back will be most welcome.

Understeer.
Not the newest toy on the block.
Understeer
Watch out for £12k refurbishment costs on any secondhand GT3 be it a 16 year old 996 or a 12 month old 991.
Understeer.
Useless gear ratios.
Understeer
Gutless engines.
Understeer
Look "old" now.
Understeer
Engine mounts too soft.
Understeer
Transmission mounts too soft.
Understeer
Fitment of front wheel spacers desirable
Understeer
Need to be run on Michelin Pilot Sports, the downside being they're not N rated.
Understeer
Frequently outbraked by Caymans on TD's
Understeer
The engine's in the wrong place.
Understeer
Don't respond well to being snowfoamed.
Did I mention the understeer ?
'Part from that Jason, they're wonderful cars. (All the above is very much tongue in cheek But JFP is correct, Zanzibar is a very Marmite colour, but it was also the the launch colour (and only 12 UK RHD cars were imported in this hue). And as you know, I've "killed" one of them. Two others have been written off/Cat D. So they're rare cars in this colour now.
This car is as good as they get and is also as good as money in the bank. Previously owned by Fattrader and RLW on here.

Slippy is viewing through Rose tinted spectacles unfortunately and has failed to mention the jaw breaking spring settings used. On a fast B road, the Cayman R would leave it for dead.
......... In fact are yo sure you wouldn't like a nice Boxster Spyder instead ?
The Spyder is SO last year.......... In fact are yo sure you wouldn't like a nice Boxster Spyder instead ?
PDK, launch control, heated seats, heated steering wheel, PASM, EPAS, choice of bluetooth options, heated door handles, leather trimmed door and rear view mirrors (contrast stitching optional) variable temperature cigarette lighter, PCM 10 (Version 33), torque vectoring on steering wheel reach adjustment, optional small wheel option (enable the brakes to look like they're big enough for the job) Porsche skyhook front suspension (you elongate the top mounts mounting holes out as much as you like, it won't make a blind bit of difference to the camber) Adjustable LCA's optional front wheel spacers, dynamic ashtray lid opening.
GT4 Cayman anyone .......

Killed one and almost yourself ! Very lucky
Reading your extensive list, it sounds like the car I have always Lol, I'll still go and have a look so no harm.
I took the GT2 out on Sunday for 30min and just came back grinning and actually had a serious adrenalin rush as I have not driven the car in weeks, I know a 996GT3 will not give that rush at the lower end of the Rev range so I'm going to view it with
the mindset of being a swift but Rock hard Porsche.

It won't have the outright (or lowdown) grunt of the GT2 Jason, but given the chance to attack a really testing piece of road in the GT3 or the 355, the car from Stuttgart would be my choice EVERY time.I took the GT2 out on Sunday for 30min and just came back grinning and actually had a serious adrenalin rush as I have not driven the car in weeks, I know a 996GT3 will not give that rush at the lower end of the Rev range so I'm going to view it with

Try it, you never know you might like it. It would compliment the GT2 rather well too !
All the stuff I posted was very much tongue in cheek. They're fantastic cars (as you know, I'm on my fourth now).....
