I think it will take one or two photos to push this lot over the edge and get their wallets out, they are close to pulling the trigger and are just looking for a tiny excuse to buy another, your post has not helped those suffering from GT2itus !!!!!!!!

it does seem that 996 proces have gone up, has the 997 gone up equally? i remember the cheapest ones being around 70-80k a few years ago with one at gc motors in the mid 60s?
maybe i have to call some dealers to see for how much they would sell my LHD car if i register it in the UK

I'm a driver and a polisher. Mine is certainly not a garage queen but
the reality is they are so special to own hence the non track work, it's not the fact of
Shunting it but the simple reason of it cannot be replaced.
Regardless of weather tomorrow I'm of to 911V in it and then a good blast about.

For a number of reasons mine will probably only make it out once this year.
As its rising in value, I don't have a problem hanging on to it when I should really sell.

As with the 996 there's not that many coming up for sale, Porsche recently had two cars listed at between 150-160k - both have gone off the website so I guess they sold.

There's the wrapped white car for sale for 70k but it's been for sale for years and I believe some people on here have viewed it and walked away. There's also the RS upgrades car for 140k, not sure why that hasn't sold, although I guess that when prices start going north originality is king.

I will be lapping the Nurburgring in June, but must admit mine has a few layers of polish.

Fredt - step up from the bronze 930 to the GT2 should be an interesting journey !!!!
Yes a bit of a step smile

More gold the bronze, looks great in the flesh, hard to capture the color properly on camera. As much as I like the old thing, I am looking forward to a 'modern' car!

last two at Leicester OPC was £150K and took a few weeks before it was removed from web, the OPC one at Leeds lasted about a week and was up for £155K, so yes they have risen fairly sharply this year, original cars seem to sell quickly and are rare as rocking horse manure!

I love 7 GT2 and it's probably my fave car. At above £110k and certainly at £155k + I'd buy a 458, Gallardo Lightweight or F 12 instead and forget about my issues about driving an overtly flash car. 7 GT2 is probably (for me) best road/track car in the world but never a £150k car imo. 7 GT2 RS at approaching £300k is also world just gone mad! I've driven them and yes amazing but not that good ! Can't fight the market though just saw a 7 GT2 RS sell for £270k!!!

looks like my LHD clubsport not worth much in the UK - guess i will keep it then (life is tough sometimes) - surprised though that people are paying premiums this large to have the steering wheel on the "wrong" side (car design wise).

PM me what you'd want for your car if you ever do decide to sell it. LHD wouldn't put me off for a good example. What I love about Porsches is that you can do 100 hard track laps and the cars are so rugged they just brush it off like a walk in the park. GT2 doesn't make any real sense until you take it on a track.

A guy who viewed my GT3 went to see this car and said it was rough around the edges, it was early 40's last year.

A bit of roughness around the edges I could live/deal with, it's the caramel interior I'd really struggle with Ed !

Good justification to convert it to a club sport!

will do, but given I just bought it 2 months ago, you might have to wait a while. so far have not even driven it on a country road yet (still managed to do 2.5k km already though) so will need to spend some time getting to know it once the weather improves
