What's your inside leg? Would you miss a few inches at the ankle?

Must be frustrating the heck out of you not being able to just sit in the thing for another couple of months.

Personally I'd just import them from The States yourself smile

I live 6 miles away from them... I have been into the shop 3 times, have asked for a quote on a clutch replacement & other work, and an aftermarket steering wheel (tall person problems with knee clearance!). Not once did a staff member seem remotely interested in helping out, and three times I was promised a call back with a price for the jobs I wanted doing, not once did I get one. Terrible attitude IMHO, couldn't give them money it seems!

On the other hand, I drove from Birmingham to Gatwick to deal with 9 Excellence, I can't rate Ken & the team highly enough, best customer service I have ever had, and my car shifts a bit now as well wink. I just wish the two could swap locations!

I've owned both and they both have their good and bad design points, but the 997 is the one I would have bought again. Unfortunately I move mine on before the price almost doubled frown

Fitting Dymag wheels made tremendous improvements to both all round handling, turn in, feathering and exit speeds when fitted to the 997 GT2.

Ok it's been agreed by my associates at work that I'm crazy to have bought a 996gt2. It's reputation blah blah blah
But the fact that I'm 6ft 6 inches and 300 lbs and never sat in one just blows their mind.
Okay will I hold the record as the largest owner of a GT2
Mines got the club seats and on a previous post I've been given a good level of confidence I'll be able to squeeze in , although may have to cut hole in the roof, God forbid.
When it comes to driving I'm envious of all men under 6 2
So any owner out there close to my size etc please help me out here
I'm just over 6'2" and 230lbs and have a 996 turbo with sports seats. I could not get comfortable even with the seat right back, so took it out and had a look to see what could be done.
On the inner runner there is a pressed in stop which I drilled out giving me just over 1" more legroom, that and with removing some of the lumbar support inside the seat and I an now comfy smile

I think he's referring to the standard comfort "armchairs".
Go with the Krey Brause mounts and run the seats without the base cushions, I reckon you'll be fine. Worst case scenario you may need to go with the Cup steering wheel to gain some knee clearance.

Plenty of big fellas like yourself get on with the CS seats in The States :

Car is at GTONE getting some unnecessary pampering, lovely 993 RS making an appearance. Love the rear wing and the Split rim wheels.

Sun came out today so so did the GT2.

Went out for a 30 mile drive just to put some miles on it as it's not being used much at all lately. Busy roads, no overtakes, slippery on the decent roads but still a great drive - just hearing the noisy Mezger rattle away and a few opportunities to get some power down was enough, what a car biggrin

Did you catch the splitter trying to get in the car park?

Never quite managed that without looking like a tit in my 996 hehe

I use to cut it at a 45 degree, but Craig's Tarmaced the slope recently. I'm just getting the rads checked, all in great shape.
