You're in for a treat, what a stonking machine!

Had not even seen one in the flesh before, and stood next to it it looks even better then in pictures. Lovely car to drive, nice and docile at low speeds and just fecking flies if you want it to. I took it out with some trepidation, but initial impression is that the nature of it is massively over hyped. Yes of course, it's blindingly fast, but the power delivery is nice and it's not gonna just throw you off the road unprovoked, like some people will have you think.

I'm gonna need some more time in in, but yeah, it's awesome. Very pleased!

youve just verified what every owner who stuck with the car has found out and i look forward to having the car set up at CG and as i have a similar power upgrade you also verify what Rob Huff stated that the power delivery is very progressive , so good news and thanks like any car just to jump in it and drive is crazy slowly slowly catch the monkey right

Just back from the NEC.
The Silver Comfort spec Gt2 sold for £88,550.
Nothing remarkable about the car, 32k miles and missing 4/5 service stamps.
I saw they put that on Twitter earlier, they said £86,625, so I think you're talking the market up a bit winksmile

Great price for a 'comfort' with normal miles on it. 996 is a properly brutal, rare and under-rated 911 though so these prices are no real shock, the shock is that it took this long for the market to wake up on them.
Christ I gave my comfort away...................one regret on Pork ownership selling my GT2!!
so anyone want to take on the one owner CS with 55k belonged to private collection that Hendon have supposedly coming on the market at the same price of the Black Comfort they still have advertised but have sold??. they informed me that this sold for 85k and the silver CS would require the same money???

They're new to the game, which showed at the auction.
They also cant add up.
£77,000 bid price plus 12.5%+vat bidders premium is £88,550.
Good news.

Strong money - great for current owners... I see the 997 GT2RS sold too, for strong money - I hope they inspected it.

Why is the 997 GT2 the poor deprecating cousin given that supply is very limited, faster than a 3RS but depreciates like a standard Turbo S!!!.

I ask because I'm looking at the new 991GT2 and hoping there's not to many LOI's down (except mine)

It has 542hp and 755Nm, a Cargraphic exhaust. Wheels in the same color as the car.
Tyre Pressure Monitor System, Pioneer sound system, bit more colory bits inside.

Still loving my car after 7 years of ownership.(every mile a smile)

3 RHD 997 GT2s for sale, cheapest 140k - that's over the original price whereas the 996 has a bit to go to get back there doesn't it?

No news on a 991 GT2 yet is there? Heard that a 2RS might be part of the 991 gen 2 but surely it's getting a bit late now for a normal GT2?

Ah, I thought as much, you are the proud owner of an RS Tuning developed kit.
There was a test in Sport Auto magazine back in 2002 of a 996GT2 with this kit and it recorded 0-300kph in 28.5s

Here are your power/torque curves

Nice morning at DK Engineering open day on Saturday. As much as I love the 996 GT2, you can so understand why the 993 GT2 fetches serious money, Just look at it !

Had such a great time with the car on Saturday, even the wife enjoyed it. Looking at the Silverstone Auction result over the weekend, I am not surprised with the rapid price rise. I am just glad I was patient enough to learn and understand the car enough to now truly enjoy it for what it is, a Classic that just makes you feel alive when driven hard but with respect.

Next outting for the car, Essen next month, Koln to see the Inlaws and maybe an early morning mild lap around the Ring before all the weekend warriors arrive.

Car gets used but looked after also. I think it will be a great shame if you don't see these cars on the road anymore due to the cost momentum that was inevitable.

You can tell there is a pattern with my type of cars, Scary big horsepower monsters and this Cobra just sat perfect over thoughs Goodyears, you can only imagine
the lumpy cam sound from the Small Block V8. Bit off the GT2 topic but this probably was the equivalent in its day.

Trickier with the arch extensions being plastic too.
