Why is the 997 GT2 the poor deprecating cousin given that supply is very limited, faster than a 3RS but depreciates like a standard Turbo S!!!.
I ask because I'm looking at the new 991GT2 and hoping there's not to many LOI's down (except mine)

3 RHD 997 GT2s for sale, cheapest 140k - that's over the original price whereas the 996 has a bit to go to get back there doesn't it?
No news on a 991 GT2 yet is there? Heard that a 2RS might be part of the 991 gen 2 but surely it's getting a bit late now for a normal GT2?
It seemed to happen within weeks too.
6 years ago I naively thought one day I'd have the hat trick of GT2's....

997GT2's took off last year, just as I was about to start looking, the stock at about £80k dried up and the next round was all North of 100.

yep a really rapid increase, when i bought my 7GT3 for £60k, there had been a 7GT2 at JZM for £89k so a 29k difference, 7GT2 now at JZM £170k.It seemed to happen within weeks too.

Is a 7GT2 twice the car of the GT3, does it even drive better, different yes, better???

It's metamerism.

Trickier with the arch extensions being plastic too.
I know silver can be a real problem to match, but to me that's a couple of shades out. Given the value of the car I'd want it perfect - or as near as damn it!http://www.glasurit.com/uk/metamerism

Just back from the NEC.
The Silver Comfort spec Gt2 sold for £88,550.
Nothing remarkable about the car, 32k miles and missing 4/5 service stamps.
I saw they put that on Twitter earlier, they said £86,625, so I think you're talking the market up a bit The Silver Comfort spec Gt2 sold for £88,550.

Great price for a 'comfort' with normal miles on it. 996 is a properly brutal, rare and under-rated 911 though so these prices are no real shock, the shock is that it took this long for the market to wake up on them.

Great Shot ! Ill tag along on the next one if you don't mind. Best time to drive through London.Went to a meeting yesterday and came back via some epic roads in Wales this morning, need to get the GT2 over there at some point, could organise a GT2 run and stopover in North Wales if anyone's interested?
help needed, are the OEM 1 bar waste gate actuators able to set for 1.2bar .My GT2 is 1.2bar boost
Im in Singapore and official OEM dealership selling pair of actuators at 485 sterling Ive been priced 640 sterling plus vat for a pair in UK so a great saving of around 300squids on the Uk price that's counting in the 8% tax back at Singapore Airport on departure
OEM parts appear cheap here
cheers

Thats sounds interesting ! I was thinking of doing a blast to Gstaad as the mountain roads must be epic ! Stay in a decent hotel and head back. Wales sounds cool. We need to arrange a driving trip as I find that the fun is in the drive to an event and not when you get there.
I take it you've not driven on the Welsh roads before then Jason ? That car practically knows it's own way around the best Welsh roads ......
