Eventful morning yesterday en route to Koln to see the in laws. Saw a bunch of the Speedking guys
representing the GT3 theme hard ! I lost track on how many 991 Rs models present yesterday at Folkstone.
This Air cooled stunner did it for me, I gave the guys a jump with the wife's car only for them to drive of and for me
to discover I have a nail in my tyre . AA plugged the tyre and Porsche Koln have one left in stock.
Essen Classic on Sunday and either Ring or Spa Gold at some point to see some track action.

Road trip / bonding session.
I bought my car over a year ago in Sweden, as it needed a few jobs doing I left it there at my parents with my dad coordinating works. I used it there for a couple of weeks during my summer holiday last year and was planning to bring it back last autumn. But time moves to fast and with two little boys and a third one baking I didn't find the time.
I found that time finally last weekend, and flew over with a mate to pick it up. Saturday morning we took aim for Rodby in Denmark, for the ferry to Puttgarden. From Puttgarden we drove to Amsterdam for the night, then Sunday we headed to Calais for the ferry and then back home to London.
Great little trip, though poor roads really is a drag in that car, and at times I was looking enviously at drivers in BMW 5 series! Worst was the ring road around Antwerp, atrocious. I've driven on better dirt roads. But the majority of the roads were pretty decent and there the car just absolutely rocks! Smooth, direct, alive and just blindingly fast!
The perfect way to get to know the car a bit better, looking forward to having it here over the summer and learn more.
Some pics.
Dad and my brother fine tuning the carburetor before we set off. Really flies now!
Setting off through Denmark.
Somewhere in Holland.
Tucked in for the night in Amsterdam.
Filling up in Amsterdam.
London! Back in it's new home!

Hard to sum up this weekend, the car performed like a Swiss watch over 700 miles, it' feels even more rapid for it and the exhaust note has changed to a more throaty deeper sound.
The Ring on Sat to watch the VLN series and then Spa Porsche days on Sunday with a good blast around the Old Spa circuit. I Love the 991 Rs but there were soooo many there I actually had people taking pics of my old car because it was the only 996 GT2 there. A weekend with some serious man and machine bonding going on, the car is seriously becoming like a good mate that you just like to hang out with.
