This lovely Carrera GT just arrived from Monaco, did one lap and went into Eau Rouge wayyyyy to hot and got bitten very hard ! The car snapped away so fast the driver had no way of catching iit. The crazy thing was that I was just talking to someone about the great Stefan Bellof and his Grp C crash with Jackie Ickx and then Bang !!!!

Best car at the event in my opinion, the attention to detail was very special.

Consul: I was planning the same two events even had hotel reservations but cancelled at the last minute due to bad weather forecast. Glad that at least Sunday turned out to be a nice day. May be next year?

His wife and daughter should sue Porsche for not having a window sticker against going too hot into Eau Rouge.

Next year, the boys will arrive in force. The weather at the Ring on Sat was terrible but the VLN series is always exciting to watch, Spa was baking
which is a first for me. Simply Stunning roads surrounding the track.

Let us know here if a group trip is to be planned for the next year. That could be good fun. I go to VLN at least few times a year. My friends are racing in the series. I usually stay for the Sunday as well for the TF and car park socializing. smile

hehe

Too right.

I'd be thinking of sueing Spa for having a dangerous corner on their racing circuit. Michelin for making tyres with insufficient grip to take Eau Rouge flat out when cold, and Porsche for producing a car that requires skill to pilot.
Better call Saul ! !

All the talk seems to be about 996 gt2's and how when setup correctly they are a complete weapon. I've also heard the 996 was the last p car made until the accounting department took over.

what does the above mean for the 997 gt2? I'm running mine all stock setup and dare I say it, almost find that the beast has been tamed (on the track at least)

I'm currently thinking of doing a chip+RS inter coolers+hybrid turbos. Do you see that will be affecting future values?

Blancpain GT series at Zolder was great last year so that might be a good one. Zolder is a great track for spectating and the racing in that series is furious. Makes F1 look boring.

My view with my car is that as long as its worth what I paid if I ever sell then I have had the best time of my life for the last 6 years for FREE ! Thats my future value theory.
