Well after the long winter the GT2 has come out of hibernation, and I've had the chance to fit some of the parts I've been collecting over the last couple of years namely the carbon fibre exterior pack that was fitted to the Mk2 car and I finally pulled the trigger on the wheels as I got offered a set that I couldn't pass on. Thanks for the offers via PH on sets of fronts but the rears were proving elusive!
I've kept all the old parts so the car can be returned back to standard spec if need be, but I have ended up with a spare arctic silver blade spoiler I'm looking to sell if anyone is looking for one, drop me a PM.
Consul said it would like a new car and I think he is right, looking forward to meeting up at various events this year. I just couldn't find mk2 when I was looking to buy my car so really pleased with the visual outcome.

Yeah, brilliant, love all the carbon bits, would like, mirrors and side intakes, also love an RS bonnet, maybe some of those little aero things on the front bumper too, I reckon I can do it for around £8k in total, can do the front lip as drive angle just a little too steep! :-(.
Have plenty of time to do the bits so no rush, even if it takes the next 2 or 3 years to get the bits, all the carbon bits in black will nicely contrast the white, you should get the side intakes too! :-)

This car sold in Nth America earlier in the year. Had the exterior carbon pieces retro fitted by the previous owner.Have plenty of time to do the bits so no rush, even if it takes the next 2 or 3 years to get the bits, all the carbon bits in black will nicely contrast the white, you should get the side intakes too! :-)
Cleaning and prep now completed, finally had a chance to have all the wheels off and give the wheel arches a spruce up and clean the 12 years of dirt off. Was pleasantly surprised to find no corrosion despite no sealer on the GT cars. Used most of the products that ClarkePB used on his GT3, namely autosmart tardis and a degreaser, then applied some bilt hamer dynawax UC which is a clear spray on wax and anti corrosion product to offer some future protection.

I drive through Esher quite a bit, sure that's not mine?
Have you ever driven through the dip at the main traffic lights in Esher in your GT2? I always avoid it, my R Class scrapes along there, I reckon it would take the front end off the GT2!
Haven't seen your car out for a bit, saw an epic looking gen 2 RS in grey/red on the weekend on the Queen's Road

Yep, I know the dip you mean. I always take the slip road past Knight Frank, my car would take a chunk out of the road if I went via the hairdressers on the corner.
I decided to freshen the whole suspension at CG, so all the top mounts, Shocks and track rods are off the car. Im really missing the car now but it made sense just to
keep things in order.

Nice 997 GT2 for sale here. Unfortunately its had 3 ignitions in RR 5 about 100 hours ago. Car looks lovely though. I wouldn't have thought its possible to have 3 ignitions in RR 5 - might be a glitch but at £100k they're asking all the money for this one. What does the PH massive think is a fair price on basis car drives well and all panels original? 5 owners.
