Free wine nibbles and porsche porn at Canary wharf Porsche!
Discussion
Hi Chaps, I cant make it as I'm on holiday but might be worth a visit for some Porsche chat and a look at some rare beasts!
"To celebrate a rare historic 356 Speedster and a 911 3.2 litre Speedster which will be on display in our Canary Wharf showroom at Canada Square, we are delighted to invite you and a colleague to a drinks reception (with wines and canapés supplied by Gauchos Canary Riverside) at our City Showroom on Tuesday 27 April between 6pm and 8pm.
One of the most desirable 356 collector models is the 356 "Speedster", introduced in late 1954. With its low, raked windscreen (which could be removed for weekend racing), bucket seats and minimal folding top, the Speedster was an instant hit with production peaking at 1,171 cars in 1957.
The 911 3.2 Speedster was a retro styled homage to the 356 Speedster from the 1950s. Total production of the Speedster was 2,104, of which only 139 were right-hand drive and, due to limited numbers, became instantly collectable. The car we have on display is a 1989 example and one of 64 official UK examples.
During the evening you will have the opportunity to be entered into a prize draw to win a Porsche Driving Experience at the Porsche Experience Centre located at the Silverstone circuit in Oxfordshire.
Should you be unable to attend, these cars will be on display in the showroom from Monday 26 April through to Friday 30 April (8am to 6pm), so please feel free to drop by.
Spaces are limited on the 27 April and available on a first come first serve basis. Please RSVP to Kirsty Lowrie via email to kirsty.lowrie@porscheeastlondon.co.uk or alternatively call 020 7718 5242."
