Has the car always been Ireland based?

As I recall seeing a very, very similar car when it was virtually brand new outside House of Fraser In Cheltenham, pretty sure it was a 3.6 as I knew it was the latest 'incarnation' (I read a lot of 'Car' & 'Fast Lane at the time!)

Cant be many speed yellow ones!

The car was inspected by George McMillan who was period trained on the 964. If you Google his name you will find that he also does PPI's for other specialists in NI.
I got George to inspect a 964 in Drogheda a few years ago. I had a deposit on a car which was refundable pending a PPI. George advised me to avoid. Knowing more now than I did then, I reckon he saved me a fair few grand.

No, it was in England until 2001 when it was sold by Autofarm to a guy in NI.

Who was the supplying OPC... was it Dick Lovett, Swinford Motors or Little Aston?

Pretty sure when I saw it, it was supplied reasonably locally so would have been by one of the above

Been out for my first "fun" drive today, still really enjoying it. It handles great, it can be a bit twitchy changing lanes on the motorway occasionally.

Some photos of the interior.

the purists might complain but I like the colour coded rear spoiler and door handles, alos like the yellow piping and seatbelts, agree the gear lever gaiter and door openers have to change but that should be a cheap fix, steering wheel looks a bit odd, is it std?

still cannot quite understand how you managed to get that so cheap, don;t they normally go for 50-60?

I love the techart fogs but the car seems to be sat a bit to high so i would get the ride height checked. Its like mine but with a lighter interior...for now
Yeah I was thinking it looked a little 'hunched'...

But thats a small niggle for a stunning looking motor - Congrats!

It looks pretty standard to me with the slightly lower front stance as it should. 964 3.6 turbo's had adjustable height spring platforms. Could perhaps benefit from the H&R 30mm lower spring kit. (if they still sell them). Along the lines of

I think the steering wheel is the original! No?

I'm waiting for my service book to turn up before I phone the seller to ask why he let me have it so cheap!?

may well be std, just wondered why you would change it (although the 4 spoke wheel is goddamn ugly so a switch to a 3 spoke RS wheel would be great)

price wise maybe I over-cooked it judging by this

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1687095.htm

but looks like you have a fantastic example there, beautiful car, enjoy it beer
