This is all getting very confusing. Spoke to Bolton as someon on another thread said they had it retrofitted there and they ran the car's chassis number into their system and the option....

997.044.903.01 Sports mode manual transmission

....came up as retrofittable. The blurb with it (Bolton are going to send me the text) seems to suggest that you get an even sharper throttle map, looser PSM and launch control, but no dash timer clock.
There's no launch control on a manual car...that's PDK only.

I'd expect Sport button and no Sport Plus for the manual. It should give looser PSM, sharper throttle and slight change to the rev limiter. Never noticed the PSE opening in Sport mode on my 997.2 and I thought I'd tested for that ages ago.

Hi, can anyone tell me if it is possible to fit a sports chrono to my 2005 997?

I realise that theres an issue with the dash, but that aside and the cost, I'm really trying to find out if the wiring is there if I bought the clock and had it fitted to the dash, or is it more complicated than that?

many thanks,

Ant.
a mate had Sports Chrono fitted to his Boxster Spyder all the electronic features except the Dash mounted clock IIRC it was about £400 or £500 fitted
