The Cayman Club Sport has been long touted to be shown at the LA show.

My guess is it will be very similar to the Boxster Spyder - up on power, down on weight and if Porsche do the right thing, some nicer colours than the dull standard ones, a cage and harnesses.

It will be the first CS since the 968.

They seem to do a new RS or GT3 every fortnight nowadays. It's worse than nikon and canon changing the DSLR market every few hours.

We live in a 'latest and greatest' age and they know it only too well.

A GT3 RSR would be a name I could imagine Porsche trying to roll out to increase the coppers in the Stuttgart bank account...

Yes it does seem to be getting out of hand. But it remains to be seen if they are actually making an GT3RS+

I have heard more than a rumour. I reckon they need to clear the decks of the GT3 RS first as another batch has just been released.

Autumn next year?

hence these unused 997.2rs' that are cropping up all over the place?
OPC's seem to be able to get their hands on way too many for it just to be down to the release of the gt2rs....

I think you have two and two making five.

As far as I can tell my local OPC was offered three cars recently and sold them all immediately.

There are a few very low mileage cars for sale at the moment, but at least two of them were registered in March and April this year. There are one or two more recent, but not a 'glut'.

The GT2 RS is sold out - I think the UK allocation was pretty much sold before being properly announced.

that sounds more likely but there does seem to be a lot of new rs' being offered around (my friend was initially in contact about a gt2rs but was told in no uncertain terms that one would not be available until they appeared on the second hand market) in various specs & colours-i've seen the emails

There are always impossible to get cars once the dust has settled.

The fact there are RSs for sale does not mean an RSR is around the corner.

dont think it will be the gt3 rsr(500bhp) that will more likely be a run out model end of next year(imo the gt3 based on gt1 block will be no more like the turbo).
the 928 is more likely to be also end of next year/early 2012(no test mules been seen)
imho with the 997 coming to the end of its 6 year life cycle and what with the arrival of the gts as the run out model it could be the 998?(this has been seen testing).
the cayman cs/r could also be there but not as the "world premiere" it being old news and spread around on the internet for the last 6 months that it will be at the LA show.

Maybe I should take it all back - there are at least ELEVEN GT3 RSs for sale at the moment - it must be one in four of those sold at a minimum!
