The S Diesel is available, from November using the adblue system. I ordered one recently for delivery April 16 with around 20k of extras and taking Porsche finance. No discount, they can sell as many as they can build. Ordering in October, January was the earliest I could have it, but dontt want it until April.

O/T

Has anyone fitted 21" winters to their Cayenne ?

Can only get Porsche approved upto 20" and don't really want to have to buy another set of rims.

Thanks for the responses. I think only recently the S Diesel got re-introduced as EU6 compliant with the adblue tank in the spare wheel compartment (previous location of subwoofer which is moved to the side of the luggage compartment - sounds better which is a bonus!). Don't want to push my dealer too hard on discount as they've been very fair with me in previous dealings, if I can get something towards to soften the price of the optional extras then will be happy with that. I guess any decent discounts have been on stock cars rather than new orders. Will hold off until I can get some info whether Porsche will introduce the new PCM inc Apple car play, etc on the Cayenne (as existing sat nav seems a bit outdated vs other makes) - I guess they are going to introduce this across their whole range of cars (just introduced on the Macan).... Thanks, Simon

I got a £1,400 discount and a £2k deposit contribution on my Cayenne S Diesel (I went in with an offer from Oracle finance already agreed). I confirmed I'm able to switch the finance to a better rate further down the line if I so wish.

Here's my spec: http://cc.porsche.com/icc_euro/ccCall.do?userID=EN...

Have you got your PEC day booked in yet? I'm at Silverstone on the morning of 30th November.

Thanks, I had no idea Porsche would do a deposit contribution - I could use that angle as I plan on financing this car, would you mind saying what APR rate they gave you? Nice spec by the way, similar to mine apart from I'm going for "I'm never going to have another black car, black"! I'm going to book a PEC day in the Spring next year, enjoy your day on the 30th..... thanks

It doesn't say it on the document but 9.1% seems to stick in my mind. It doesn't sound great and I'll almost certainly move it to 3rd party finance at the earliest opportunity. Downside of this is that Oracle's GMFV will likely be lower which will increase the monthlies although this will increase the equity/reduce the balloon at the end. I'll probably keep it given how few miles are likely to be on it at the end of the four year term. That's one of the reason I went to town on the options, the other been I've never had a new car before! smile

On the link you provided to your spec - have you clicked on "calculate monthly payments"? You can change mileage, deposit, term, etc etc and you will see Porsche are offering finance at 7.0% which is acceptable.

7% APR sounds right to me. Would hope I could push that a bit to nearer 6% APR, much less than that then the finance deals tend to be subsidised by the manufacturer but with the bigger brands it's their own finance company anyway!

It's their in house finance coy but they still go into the market and sell the debt I.e have to pay market mates

18x base rate to put a depreciating asset on the drive? People must really want them.

Nope. Never. I do however keep the climate control on 'Auto' all the time. Could your system need checking and perhaps re-gassing?

Nope here too, and I don't even have the climate on. Sounds like you have some moisture getting in somewhere, check your front floor mats.

Not sure if it's the same issue as yours, but I've been getting a lot of condensation on the inside of the windscreen and rear window. Actually takes a long time to clear. As its spirit to just those two windows, not sure if it could be to do with the fact I've just started to use the heated windscreen in the last few weeks.

Took delivery 2 months ago and after 2500 miles I am so impressed. I've spec'd it modestly see here http://www.porsche-code.com/PGSY8640

Thoughts after taking delivery, well I am glad I decided on red seat belt, might not sound like much but it breaks up a very black interior.
Also compass is a nice addition to the centre dash plus clock in a handy place and PASM is a must esp for resale but its a good thing to have as its actually usable.

I would definitely say that unless you're towing, you don't need Air Suspension as the PASM settings are superb.
The 3 litre diesel engine has lots of grunt, I was considering a V8 but actually this is all I need in a 4x4 so if buying, really consider whether £10k is worth spending to obtain the V8. Although I can't argue that the S has a great engine, the handing isn't exactly sports car like so throwing it around the welsh 'A' roads doesn't feel like its natural stomping ground. Motorway cruising and fast sweeping A roads are superb however. It really is a quality piece of kit.

Some have mentioned misting up, mine does but then only when raining and not using Air Con, this solves it instantly.

My only gripe is that when you hoof it, the air coming in changes temp. For example if its on say 20 degrees, you overtake a car, hot air comes in via the dash. I'm still fiddling the the controls but its a bit annoying.
I have it on Auto all the time but the temperature still changes with a sudden plant of the accelerator for some reason even if the fan is only on 2 bars in auto mode.

Can anyone suggest what i might be doing wrong?!

Sounds great. I'am a long way off from pulling the trigger & may wait until the new 2017 model appears. but interesting to hear that you are pleased with the V6. Would love the V8 - but not sure I could justify the extra cost. For me spec'ing on the porsche configurator a V6 diesel comes out at £60K with a decent spec. The V8 with a lesser spec comes out at £70K. Afterall how fast do you really want your 2.5 ton truck to go. Interesting comments from a new owner.

Its first class travel for those lucky enough be able to buy one. It really is almost Bentley like in terms of ride quality and noise in the cabin. Certainly in terms of build quality.
Incredibly smooth and wafts along so much better than the 5 series I had before. The BMW didn't have EDC, so this is where the PASM comes in, it really does make a massive difference to have a comfort option in town.
Sport on A roads is superb, slightly stiffer suspension et up and a more responsive throttle. Cardiff to Snowdonia in 3 hours was a blast to be honest.

Andrew, also remember that the current Panamera has a 300bhp 3 litre unit. I can see this in the next Cayenne and then there really isn't any point in paying for the V8 unless you want the V8 rumble which is gorgeous, I have to admit!

We collected a new one on Friday after a six month wait !
We went for the V6 since it is going to be a daily use car, and having had a couple of Audi's with the same engine in in the past, felt it was adequate for its intended job.
I would have loved the V8, but an extra £10k just for the engine, I just could not justify it.

Seems to be a common theme of around the £10k of 'extras' added to everyones base spec.
