Conversely, I have the bogo standard 8-ways and love 'em to bits - very comfy on long runs. I had a sit in one with the high sided bolsters and didn't like them (purely because of the bolster that I knew would become worn/creased over time).

Another vote for the 8 ways here, albeit with driver memory and full leather. I find them exceptionally comfy, but everyone has different preferences (and backsides!).

Yep I can see that. There's a black one up on AutoTrader at the moment with c50k miles with the 18-way seats (but no Xenons)and the drivers bolster looks to have completely deformed. Not a good sign. However I've seen another with double the mileage and it looks near perfect.

Pulled the trigger on a new Cayenne (v8 hot rod!) S diesel yesterday and can't wait! Delivery around May next year, just really hoping Porsche introduce the new PCM and google maps etc like they have just done on the Macan.

After sitting in a new Turbo in the showroom, interior wise I've gone for the 18 way sports (crested) seats, red seat belts, pano roof and alcantara headlining and the black piano wood or whatever the standard trim is called - the sports seats and general interior ambiance just felt so special, even compared to a new Range Rover. The red seat belts being a slightly darker shade of red seemed to lift and break up the cabin a bit - all personal taste I know, won't appeal to some people. Roll on May.....

You're right, its such a minor addition but red seat belts make a big difference to the interior…

Drive from Snowdon to Cardiff yesterday with all the family in the car in the pooring rain.. Its an amazing piece of kit and so capable for a 4x4.

Collection pic…

Looks fantastic in the showroom, especially with the gloss black wheels! I was torn between black and silver. Any regrets on black paint now it's out in the real world?

It does get dirty but then its autumn and the roads are filthy. I clean it every 2 weeks and it stays clean for about 3 days! It'll be less of an issue in the spring and summer months.
I've had loads of silvers and greys so I wanted something else plus as a sensible decision, black is also good for resale on these beasts...

The 18 way seats do wear well but am I the only one who finds the under thigh squab a bit hard?

Also the lack of headrest fore and aft adjustability isn't ideal.

Agreed. But no sat-nav is a deal breaker for me even though we all know it's nowhere near as good as TomTom etc.

Chaps quick question for two cars same colour, mileage, Ext pack, Sat Nav/phone, air/PASM, heated seats but one has 14-way seats and the other 18-way seats. Additional Extras:

14-way car: Xenon with PDLS/Heated Screen/Adaptive Cruise/TPMS/Pan Roof/Lane Assist/Rev Camera/MFSW/Servotronic

18-way car: Roof rails/No roof/MFSW/servotronic/No camera

General view is Xenon and Pan roof make the car and 14-way seats are comfortable enough...........but 18-way seats look the dogs gonads

I would go 14 way all day long. the seats look good but only when you're actually getting into the car. I suppose when you're driving it you don't look at the seats redface)
Pan roof really lightens up the whole interior and is great for resale. Xenons are also nice to have and needed if doing a lot of night driving.

I'm getting tired of looking and want to buy one. I did find a perfect option car but it has 22" wheels which I believe will be aftermarket as Porsche only offer 21" max? Wheels that size would have to go as they are no good on ride/noise quality.

Yep reverse camera is an extra over and above front/rear park assist

21 is fine so long as it has PASM & Air.
