Had mine 10 months and done 10k miles. Absolutely no issues apart from some knob putting a deep scratch in the door in a car park. No note left of cpurse so I had to fork out for a respray of the door.
That happened to us too a few months ago. Wife came back from supermarket with a small dent/scratch on the door.

The other day whilst in a BP forecourt I watched a woman reverse slowly (to change lanes) until she bumped into a stationary vehicle. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. And she was going SO slowly.

Just had my parents stay for a few days and my Dad's 2 year old VW Golf had a big dent in the front bumper: someone had obviously reversed into it and then driven off. This stuff just seems to happen all the time.

Wouldn't it be good if our cars could identify the culprit for us?!

Anyone noticed that you can ow specify DAB as an option plus Internet Applications option on the configurator for the Cayenne? A little bit disappointed as I would have liked the DAB option.

Mine goes into build in 9 days so it was locked down for no spec change a week ago.

Any thoughts on if this can be retrofitted? I'm expecting it not be as it would be a new PCM.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over not getting the DAB, FM has far better coverage and arguably better sound quality.

Full post code search would be nice though. I understand new cars being delivered have this now.

Been away for a few days just reading through this thread

Nice spec, agree completely with regards to Air a must have, need to put details on that soon, maybe that will be my next option review.

Personally not interested in chipping plenty quick enough for me.

Mine is now 4 months old and 4k miles up and all is fine, fingers crossed will stay that way.

Great choice you will not regret the Cayenne, well I hope not!, don’t worry about DAB very iffy coverage, I sell DAB tuners and I have to lend potential clients the units to try at home to make sure it works where they live.

Jet Black metallic very nice but hell to keep clean!!

Only had mine a few days, so still in the early part of the honeymoon, but of all the extras I have the one that I really love is the Xenons with PDLS. Turn night into day. By far the best Xenons I have had and a great safety feature too. Guess it depends on the type of driving you do but I would place them close to the top of my options list.

They are tremendous. My parents-in-law live in the middle of nowhere, accessed by some great B roads so driving there at night it is pitch black and very twisty. Not only do these things light it up in a way I've never seen before, but the way they follow your vision round corners is excellent.

I think that's been common knowledge for quite a while.

Whilst it will appeal to some, the Cayenne Ds I've been in or driven seemed to have more than enough performance for this type of vehicle.

However, reading down the page, it could be more interesting in the forthcoming "facelifted" Panamera. Though, I doubt if the Panamera's compromised styling will be fully resolved with a few tweeks. The original Cayenne had some 'facelifts', but it took the current 'all new' model to finally get rid of the ugly duckling image.

£11.5k more for the diesel S (46700 vs 58200) so wonder if there is more standard equipment too.

The diesel S is about 2 k more than the petrol S.

I very much doubt it.

Elsewhere in the range you can pick up a few extras with 'S' spec over standard though, so I wouldn't be surprised if one or two extras were thrown in. Has anybody read any speculation about Macan pricing? I can foresee me being in the market for something bigger in the not too distant, and I think I'd like to stay with Porsche...

Quoting the website:

"Another sporty reference: the black slats in the front apron make the air intakes appear larger and the car wider. As well as accentuating the sports-oriented design, these help to ensure the optimum operating temperature for the V8 turbo-diesel engine. Of course, the Cayenne S Diesel is also recognisable by its distinctive engine sound."

So looks like a few little design tweaks and some kind of sound symposer perhaps? I did read this somewhere...

Just had a blast on the config. and the exact same spec (Turbo II's, PCM, powerliftgate, elec towbar, etc etc.) for a diesel S compared to my diesel came to 10k more, which surprised me. I was expecting the difference for this monster to be quite a bit more.

Hmmm. When does the warranty expire on mine........?

For those of you who cant make your mind up:
Diesel S base price is £55,186 (for ease of comparison this excludes the mats/parking etc that you are required to have as these vary per model)
Petrol S is £53,730 and
GTS is £64,089

Diesel 0-100km/h = 7.6s, 80-120km/h = 5.9s, 39mpg combined, 137mph
Diesel S 0-100km/h = 5.7s, 80-120km/h = 3.8s, 34mpg combined, 156mph
Petrol S 0-100km/h = 5.9s, 80-120km/h = 4.0s, 26.9mpg combined, 160mph
GTS 0-100km/h = 5.7s, 80-120km.h = 3.8s, 26.4mpg combined, 162mph

The Diesel S would seem to be the performance bargain of the range (on paper at least)

If you were only doing small miles - say less than 8000 pa - would you be better off in a GTS?
