The £40k 997 turbo?

Retail prices are fast heading for £44-45k which is spitting distance from £40k after a bit of haggling!

Looking at the classifieds and there are 20 x 997 turbo between £47.5-£52.5. So plenty of supply, not much moving as the markets slow.

Much be a few dealers worrying about the amount of metal they have which is stuck to the forecourt.

They will go to 996 prices easily as they built in mass numbers period. Look at them dipping below 993 turbo prices now! Get a gt3 !!!

As a daily I think the 997 turbo is probably the best all rounder!

Doesn't look like 997 turbo are moving in the classifieds.

There are 144 listed although there are a few non 997 turbo included (compared to only 75 996 turbo) so a plentiful supply.

There are approx 24 997 turbo between £45,950 and £49,995.

Anyone who how much these are supposed to be dropping by each month?

Just looking back.

16th April cars were touching £49k
18th April there were 108 on sale (give or take the odd misplaced car).
8th Oct there were only 14 cars under £50k.

Today:
Prices at £46k, but we've seen advertised at £43k.
144 cars (give or take the odd misplaced car)
24 of those are under £50k
25 of those are between £50-55k

So alot of cars have moved down in the price band and there are more on the market. Could be the time of year but I'm sure more cars will come onto the market at the weather gets better leading to a further downward movement in prices!

There are 3 997 turbo's at OPC's at £50k, so covered by the 2 year warranty.

If they are not dropping enough for you, try buying one. They'll soon drop like a stone once it's in your garage. All a matter of opinion.

I don't think you can calculate the monthly amount it is going to drop? I wouldn't wait on it dropping any more, I'd get more money and buy one as it is. They're worth every penny.

I'm sure the auctions or the trade have a guide which shows what the monthly drop is?

So the volume of sub £50k cars is growing which is going to put pressure on some to drop their asking price!
