The £40k 997 turbo?

Prices of gen 1's have gone up, I suppose all Porsche have recently. Haven't seen a gen 2 less than late £50's good examples mid £60's.
Assuming the 50k one wasn't shagged it would have been a nice buy.
It has to be as a direct result of the rise of the GT and air cooled cars. A mezger 6/7 turbo is probably seen as a great alternative?Assuming the 50k one wasn't shagged it would have been a nice buy.

Am I missing a trick by not looking at Pdk?
Car will be a weekend toy, with possible forays into Europe at least once a year.
Has anybody had/driven both?
What are your thoughts guys?

Depends to me the gen 1 looks dated but maybe because I've had a gen 1, I find the gen 2 a much fresher look.
Really? I struggle to tell the difference bar the wheels, and wider exhausts if I am closerCallughan said:
Thanks but not the spec for me and DH motors not a dealership I would entertain.
DH are local to me but have never used them. However as a future potential buyer of the kind of 997 stock they keep I'd be interested as to why you would not entertain them? PM if you prefer.Callughan said:
Maybe, I find gen 1's with the rear lights in all red make it a bit more up to date looking.imo
forgot the red rear lights, think that was an option on gen 1 though? Haven't made my mind up whether I prefer the all red look, like both wheel styles (not RS spyders) but gen 2 fatter exhaust looks nicer. So are you seeling an gen 1 and looking to buy a gen 2?
