It certainly divides opinion but I love it. I wasn't sold on the idea of a 996TT at all but when I saw this one I knew I had to go and see it. It was a 2 owner car with 60k on the clock but a PPI showed it needed some work so I fought hard on the price to get over £2k off and had all the work done to get it sorted. It was only meant to be something to keep a smile on my face having sold the R8 to look for a nice 360 but I'm tempted to keep it for a bit as it's an awesome bit of kit and arguably the best value sports car out there at the moment.

Its GT. Love the 993, maybe one day! Do you like your 991? I have to say I love mine.
Yep, love it. I'm not really sensitive enough to notice the supposed inadequacies with the steering but coming from a 997 Turbo S, the 991 is so much better in terms of handling, ride, refinement and the way it corners is on another planet. Stunning all rounder.RSVP911 said:
Lovely - however I'm afraid to say I really really love the 993 - tell me more please
I'm generally into the newer stuff (PDK and all that) but I had found myself looking more and more at 993s and decided to try one before the prices went too silly. The wide body cars are beautiful looking and almost seem to be improving with age. It's fun to drive but in all honesty, not that user friendly round town as the throttle is a bit "on/off" which I had read in a couple of reviews but nothing really to complain about! It's great on the open road though and feels very compact and is a seriously cool piece of kit. This one has the 430hp factory power kit too but I don't know how much quicker these are than the standard Turbos. It's definitely got under my skin more than the 991 but that's still a great car too and much better for the day to day stuff. For a long road trip, it would be the 991 but in the summer for shorter trips, it's going to be the 993 every time....

I have to say if I had the money and space I'd have 100's of the things I just love them right from the original
911's all the way through to the new stuff - they just look better and better as they get older - love them
