I was going to say you're lucky man but I think fortunate is more appropriate....fortunate to be the owner / custodian of such fine Classic / historic Porsche automobiles well done Sir I doff my cap to you.....now I shall see what I can find down the back of the sofa
Thank you matey , I realise I'm extremely luckyLovely 964 Turbo!
Saw a 944 on the motorway the other day and was reminded how good the 924/44 series still looks.Nope it's a van engine. Well the base design went in 101 things (in true VW fashion) and was in Audi's and the VW LT van

Nice! I assume spellcheck morphed "vag" into "van"?Saw a 944 on the motorway the other day and was reminded how good the 924/44 series still looks.

Nope, its not a van engine! It was originally an Audi motor and was later fitted to a van.Remember that only the most torquey and the strongest of engines get fitted to vans, they have a very hard life. Screwed from cold, revved to the limiter in every gear, never serviced. And all this whilst pulling weight.
Its a great engine.
Raced at Le Mans too........
