ig,

Thats why I wanted to get as many owners as possible to come along on the rolling road day. To compare like with like on the same day on the same rollers. Apart from Ian all the other cars were slightly down on power rather than up (even the GT2 only made 458.9). We'll never know for sure though unless we all do it again (somewhere else?) next year.

P.S. Guy what did your GT2 do at the wheels?

From memory it made 375 at the wheels.

I have used many types of dynos at many locations when I was in the Skyline GTR tuning scene and the only firm conclusion is that:

1. Do not compare readings from different places, they will never make sense. Each operator thinks theirs is the more accurate machine.

2. Loads of cars on the same day, same machine, same temperature provide accurate comparisons between specifications.

3. Running before/after comparisons from modifications are useful.

4. Ignore anything other than wheel figures, the estimates for flywheel losses are never 100% accurate and vary for many reasons.

I'm keen to do another go at G-Force now my car has been Ruf'd.

Guy,

RUF'D! sounds interesting what did they do for you? Let us know when you're thinking of putting it back on the rollers.

Ruf info and others are here:

I hope it's not considered rude to cross-post to another forum, but I cannot seem to post actual pictures in the threads here and I can't be bothered to re-write it.

Guy, you can post pics in the threads; click 'formatting codes' to the left of the text box when you are writing a post. It will give you the codes required to insert pics and links to other sites, etc.

Martyn.

BTW your RUF'ed up GT2 looks great, especially the carbon rear wing. I have never heard such a sound before when you were booting it down the strip from the start at V-max......a high pitched bellowing scream from the turbos, sounds ace.
