Hi, I have an EFI fault coming up on the display but with no fault codes and the software does not show any fault codes. Engine running rough and will not idle. Any ideas.
Thanks

Get it to your local TVR guru.

Sounds like, possibly, throttle bodies could do with balancing and maybe a faulty throttle pot......

Hi, Went to my local guru diagnosed for £30 - local mobile diagnostics firm. It has an engine like any other car, the TVR engine is nothing special why pay hundeds of pounds going to a dealer.

Why not get the free software, install on your existing laptop and buy or make a lead and diagnose yourself. Even cheaper

I do have the software and it was not throwing up any fault codes. The software is very limited in what it does, it only gives electrical outputs. Some of those electrical outputs result in some mechanical operation which the software does not see.

Did they use some other form of diagnostic software. Or did they check resistance and voltage of certain sensors.
What Was the issue in the end?

The only limitation I have found is my inability to decipher the results! I have had similar recently. An EFI fault on the dash which showed up as a Lambda not switching which gave me inconsistant AFR readings, all quite clear (even for me) on the software. It would be handy to know what your fault was in the end to add to my notes.
