Hi all, Just booked my first ever track day at Knockhill. Does anyone have any Tuscan specific top tips? Or any top tips to be honest. It's a 2hr open pit lane session on 30th August. Cheers Phill.

A bit of quality octane booster will help prevent any pinking that you won't hear under your lid. Keep an eye on the fron NS tyre pressure, it will keep on inflating during the day leading to more than normal levels of understeer. Enjoy

Don't park up and put the handbrake on after a session to avoid the pads sticking.

Thanks for the replies guys. Has anyone been to knockhill? Am I right in thinking it doesn't have a noise limit due to it being in the middle of nowhere?

I was looking to do the novice track day on the 28th down at Brands, but it had a noise limit of 98db static which I know i wouldnt pass, instead of the usual 105. Its a PITA

I've just found it on Knockhill's website and they say it's 105db measured at 0.5m at 3/4 revs. So I guess about 4000rpm at 0.5m. Jeebers! it'll never pass, even if I put the standard cans back on on surely that's a bit of a stretch? Are there any good android sounfd meter apps out there?

I was at knockhill a couple of years ago with my Tuscan, CCC's kept on! They weren't testing anyone so would guess you'd probably be safe!

Out of interest has anyone had their car sound checked running the standard system with sleeved cans. Every time I manage to get to brands on a weekday the sound man has either left or is at lunch.

They seemed pretty sensible at Brands at least compared with Castle Combe
