Thanks, what have you had on the car to compare them with?
GY F1. Having said that, these were fine, too. I don't do track days, so no requirement for the kind of grip Toyos would probably offer, but at least 2 extensive Europe trips a year, where both dry and wet handling are equally important. I admit I nearly lost it once on a cold day when accelerating in 3rd entering a motorway with cold tyres, but that was 100% my own fault. Lesson learned. Once warm, the Sessantas are really great- wheelspin and powerslides only when I really want it to happen on the odd occasion. Scores 9 for me.Had the Vredesteins for about 15 months now and so far not a single "funny moment" in the wet, even when driving reasonably fast in heavy rain. Very predictable behavior (whatever that means in Tuscan terms); in wet, the Sessantas score 10 out of 10 for me. Perhaps even 11.
They have done about 12k miles so far and the wear is surprisingly low, so 10 points here.
Almost finally, the cost factor; all 4 corners for just under 600 quid is a (good) joke for such a tyre ( I hope Vredestein people do not read this). 10.
And really finally, they just look cool. I know some people find the opposite "reversed" tread pattern irritating and TBH I have got no clue how that is supposed to work, but it does. So 10 "cool" points here, but since aesthetic aspects are really the very last thing to worry about when it comes to tyre choice, I cannot add them to the score board.
Resumed, the Sessantas tick really all the boxes for me- but that is just MHO.
Oh and I do not work for Vredestein
Odd looking SP12s The ones on my Chimaera have evenly spaced spokes
However, I would love to know if you guys think they would look best as they are, or in a light to mid grey, about the colour of those on my friend's Tuscan, which i think got quoted on the previous page of this thread. I am about to refurb them.....and ideas would be welcome

I like the SP12's. Still waiting on the outcome of my engine problem but may be interested. Have you got a price in mind?spartridge said:
Sorry Mike, they've already gone to another PHer...
Aha , that would be me ....really pleased with them ...here's a half and half :and full SP12 :
Was running the original spiders on 255/35 all round , now running 225/40 front and 255/35 rear on the SP12s ....the narrower tyres at the front, along with the front 4 kg/side weight saving (~3kg/rear) really makes a positive difference to the feel of the car.
Thx Simon ! Appreciate the look round your car .
have fun
Matt
PS anyone want some silver 'mint' spiders ?
