I like the colour ... not as dark as Dark Fantasy or as Black as Blackish Red ... What is it ?

Ah .. Deep Red Candy ... Whose colour is that ?

Thanks, we invented it - it's a deep red candy dye over bmw space grey combo - its amazing how many different silvers we had to go through to find the colour I was looking for as the base dramatically effects how the candy looks over the top + how many layers of candy are used.

I think TVR used bonnet hinges off a Ford MPV of some sort IIRC ..I got a replacement set from multipart... I would realy like some stainless steel ones cool
late escort cab boot hinges
After a bit of googling, I *think* the later hinges with the built in struts are from a Ford Streetka.
I see the Street Ka is now mentioned in the parts wiki as the gas strut boot hinge donor. Has this been confirmed yet?

Anyway, should know in the next few days because just ordered some!

I don't know about the Ka ones but the one I mentioned in this Topic works fine with the extra weight of the Tuscan 2S boot lid with large spoiler.

Yeah, I've got an SGS one too but I'm after a totally different style of hinge with the built in struts (like the ones further up the page).

Unfortunately, the fiberglass surrounding the stud where the strut connects to on my boot lid has cracked, a no matter how strong I try to make it, it's never strong enough!

New type of hinges will solve this issue.

These are the hinges from a Tuscan Convertible, which I think are from a Ford Street Ka, but I think MK1&MK2 Targas are different. As you say .. You'll soon find out smile .

Would appreciate knowing how you get on Cockey. I've bought a 650N one to see if it can take the weight effectively of the bootlid with the spoiler - will try fitting when I get the car back.

They don't fit!!!

Not even close to fitting.

Bit hard to tell if I'm annoyed or not, because I'm currently overwhelmed with annoyance at myself for chipping the trailing edge of the boot lid with one of the hinges. Gah! furious

It's mainly where the hinge connects to the boot lid that's the big difference.

Looking at the pictures below, I can now see there are some fundamental differences between the mk 1 and later models.

Shame!
