Is there room for a dog?
Discussion
Hi all
It's nearing the time I get to pick up my Tuscan
Now I've only seen it once and it's when I first viewed it.
I was originally wanting a tamora or possible t350, but seeing the Tuscan at HHC I saw how spacious it was inside and in the boot, it made more sense for our European trip...
Anyways, I remember the rear shelf and footwell being pretty large... I'm curious to wonder if my large dog would fit on rear shelf comfortably?? Or is that a definate no no?.
I know my dad used to always take his dogue de Bordeaux in his Alfa spider ... She was always happy to jump up even though she had to be shoehorned out!

Old thyme bulldog cross.. Like a big boxer...
Nice! We have (amongst others) a blue blood american bulldog rescue. She hasn't been in the Tuscan yet but our sharpei cross mastif has and he is a similar weight. Just for the record he loves it.
I can see where this thread is going....
Hmm slight difference of opinion. I have a Dogue de Bordeaux and three bull dogs and for their own safety I won't put them in anything other than the back of the discovery. I certainly wouldn't risk it on the parcel shelf of the tuscan for yours and they're safety.
To really make it safe you'd need harness mounting points on the chassis rails.

Good to hear I should be able to have him as company now and again.
The only dog he gets on with..

Very true and a very fair point. I refused to put Charlie in the back of my focus in fear of a rear end shunt as they seem to be relatively common and horrifies me to think what would happen to him in the boot.To really make it safe you'd need harness mounting points on the chassis rails.
A discovery is a perfect kennel on wheels.
It would ky be an occasional thing but was more curious to if people did it and how much room there is
