The prices of the S's are so hard to price especially the mk2 as there so rare.
What value would you put on mine for instance going off the ones for sale.
2005
Original motorshow car owned by tvr until 2009 then bought by a guy via HHC who owned it until march and serviced by HHC all its life once tvr sold it on.
Very clean 21k miles...?

With the baboons arsed dash, I would say £25,995What value would you put on mine for instance going off the ones for sale.

Purely on the shape of the dash? It's so impossible to price. I've not had the car long and plan to keep it. But this house needs so much done and I'm on my ar5e at the moment...
But hopefully ill be able to keep hold of it.
The problem is that there are relatively few cars for sale, and fewer still actually being sold. The other main issue is that no 2 cars are the same. Even from new there were so many variables and given engine re-builds / upgrades, mileage, use / abuse, and even colour variable, there can't be an easy answer to 'how much is mine worth' as there are no comparables.
Mine for example is a 2006 registered convertible, original engine (no rebuild), original gearbox, original interior, original paintwork, wheels never refurbed, bought by me from the original dealer, air-con, full leather, one-off arancio pearl paint, and nearly 60k miles on the clock, full service history mainly by HHC and despite being 'original' and will loads of miles, still scrubs up well:-
Value???? High mileage Tuscan without a rebuild @ £22,500, or unique non-molested Mk 3 4.0 Convertible one-owner from new @ £40,000... The truth is likely somewhere in the middle!

If you've only had it for 3 months, it'll be worth roughly what you paid for it.

Yeah be nice to think I wouldn't loose any money. The problem is that there are relatively few cars for sale, and fewer still actually being sold. The other main issue is that no 2 cars are the same. If I'm thinking right, HHC did finish off 2 of the factory shells in 09, one orange and one in metallic blue, both went north of the border and had **09 TVR reg plates with the first two letters being the initials of the first owners. Beautiful cars I agree with the earlier comments about the impossibility of giving an accurate price on car without actually seeing it and going through the options and history. I looked at six cars before I bought my car - all mark 1- and despite how they looked in the photos there was a huge difference in condition when you viewed them in the 'plastic and metal'. Most descriptions were at best 'optimistic' and some service histories weren't what they were purported to be....I think you can only gauge what represents value by actually looking at a few cars in detail - there are major differences that will significantly affect the price. In the end it comes down to what you are prepared for a particular car and if you can persuade the seller that it's the right price....
