Ok a stone flew up from the car ahead and I now have a 10cm crack in the windscreen.

Simple question how much and where to get it replaced? I am on the Kent, Surrey, Sussex borders.

No idea but whatever you do don't use Autoglass. They fitted me a new screen and bodged it so much that at one side is filled with black Silkaflex at the bottom and then same again at the top on the other side which they hid with the roof rubber. A month later the roof rubber came away to reveal the bodge but when challenged they advised it was my fault!! HQ complaint resulted in....nothing. Very and still unhappy.

I'm soon gonna be needing one and have had Paul at Glasstec recommended to me by a few people. He's on here as Glassman so would be interested to see how you get on.

Other than that then i'd speak to the major dealers str8six/Power etc and see who they would use.

Thanks for the comments. I am off on holiday in a weeks time so will probably leave it until my return as it seems that there may be a bit of discussion to be had with insurers and such.

I used www.mobilewindscreens.co.uk. The MD Phil Lomas is here on PH although I can't remember his user name. They did both my Tuscan and Jag. Very impressed and have a lot of TVR experience.

Is there much you can do for a badly rubber-ed screen?

Mine had a recently fitted new windscreen which by all accounts took a couple of attempts to get right. It's sealed fine with no leaks, but recently the rubber along the top of the screen has become detached when driving with the roof off.

Sikaflex?

My windscreen rubber come loose on the top corner of my Chim. I used Dinitrol 500 Windscreen adhesive:-

Did this last year and all good.

Just make sure you were gloves and don't get anywhere you shouldn't because its a pig to get off!
