Hi,
Does anyone have an ACT Tuscan exhaust fitted? If so I am interested in your feedback on what it is like noise wise.
I have had the ACT full system, Y pipe and manifolds on a Chimaera and it sounds fantastic and fitted really well.
Cheers
Got a full system inc. 2 1/4" rear s/s sharknose cans. Deeper sound. Wonderful.Does anyone have an ACT Tuscan exhaust fitted? If so I am interested in your feedback on what it is like noise wise.

Had a slight QC issue with mine when I got it, but Tim was no probs to deal with.
I recommend.

Thanks Marto.
Is it bearable in the car at all speeds?
Well..... It is much better than the old std system with 2 1/2" act cans. That was mental loud!Is it bearable in the car at all speeds?
I am decatted, so bought the full system and had the rear can size reduced to 2 1/4".
It's made a big difference. I can now use the radio and hear it!
Car is 104db at 4500. At 3000 @ 75 ( where such speeds are permitted) it is quite civilised.
Depending what you have now you made get an improvement in quietness.

I've got one and it's great. Polished up well, seems great quality.... and actually took the droning out of the exhaust noise that used to annoy me. So much so that I now run with a set of very loud powertech cans and inside the car at normal speeds.. it's actually quite civilised!
I am looking at getting the ACT system for mine, does yours still have the back boxes fitted?Yep, they keep the back boxes, but instead of it being an empty tin can, it's 2 90 degree bends, with some perf pipe in the middle, so the gas flow is a lot better, plus you get some noise damping from box as opposed to just making a booming noise.
I bought after getting the 4.3 fitted as it sounded much deeper than the 4.0S original engine. Still sounds loud enough... just much more pleasant inside the cabin. See how quiet it comes across on the camera at the start... compared to armageddon at full throttle

That's an ACT exhaust on the list for next year, I assume yours is de-catted?I bought after getting the 4.3 fitted as it sounded much deeper than the 4.0S original engine. I was decatted and found it a bit too 'whhaaaaaaa', so put in 200cell cats last night.
I now have a deeper, bass-ier sound, a bit like a Big Healey at idle.....and a bit more civilised from a volume point of view, but stull that same classis speed six as the revs rise.
It is all subjective and individual though, and I have played about with it a bit to find the right sound and volume.
Hope you like it as much as we all do.
