Hello,

You may have seen my other thread about buying a Tuscan for around £18k.
There are 2 that I really like the look of up at James Agger, I have spoken to him and researched his business and there are many positive opinions of him.
However, the most I have ever spent on anything is £600 so i am quite apprehensive about dropping £18k on a car! I know that if I buy a nail then i will be spending probably £8k getting it sorted but as we all know, price isn't directly proportional to quality.
First up:

Apparently had a rebuild in 2006, always garaged but some stone chips in the paint.

Second we have a high miler:

I have heard good things about these people too. This car has had a rebuild around 30k miles ago but the rest of it may be showing its age.

Does anyone know of either of these two cars? Are they good or are they crap and I should not bother.

Advise is appreciated.

As a side note, is anyone on here going to the TVRCC meet at Shuttleworth this weekend? I would like to go over with my GF to look at the cars. I'm not a member yet but it would be nice to know if we are welcome!

If you think the purple one on PH is "showing its age" a TVR may not be for you. smile Looks pretty good to me!

I'd just find one, and get an inspection done on it by someone trusted or, as you seem to be doing buy from a TVR specialist with a reputation to uphold should you have any problems you believe should be covered!

I bought mine on a whim from a dealer (who didn't do / know TVRs) when looking for a Boxster S and finding it all a bit dull. No inspection apart from my own. Basically I can't believe how lucky I've been but I took her to Racing Green for a full report as I was off to the Italian lakes in the summer.

Since then (had it 2 1/2 years) I've had a big service and Nitrons put on and its not let me down really. Flat battery a few times but I have the anderson jump lead and she always gets going after a few mins!

I think the purple one looks fantastic! I meant bits like drive train and stuff might be pretty baggy by this stage.
