I also ended up fitting the rest of Allans kit, although the front rose joints wouldn't fit but i think my bonnet may be a Fibreon aftermarket one.

Has anyone swapped the ball sockets for in line versions so you could just use the pins already located at the rear edge of the main bonnet?



Whilst my bonnet is going away for some paintwork, i've realised that i'm not so keen on how visible the rivets are on the outside edge of the bonnet. It's just me being fussy but i think the struts could in theory work just as well if they were inline, and the strut a bit longer. I'll email Allan and see if he could make me a pair to test biggrin

I thought about epoxy for the support instead of Rivets, but figure I can just paint over them when I have the bonnet repainted

Just had my bonnet converted by Allan today and it has to be the best modification you can do to your car. A thoroughly professional job that took him just 2 hours! Very pleased.

2 Hours ...... He must be gatting old and slow hehehehehehe

Seriously though, Allan does a first class job and is a top bloke as well.
