Evening all

I have an issue with my drivers door. The car thinks it's open so window will not do up and car won't lock.

Any ideas guys? Is there a micro switch somewhere that could be dodge?

Yes, inside the plate on the car where the latch is - held in with 3 small screws on my car. You need to make sure that the microswitch 'lever' returns fully and doesn't catch on the lock itself. Pretty simple to check.

That might explain it. I recently greased the catches, usually use WD40 but didn't have any. Guess the grease could be too thick. I'll have a look.

Anyone know which micro switch I need as a replacement? Have a Maplin opposites office

Removed the cover plate and the micro switch was working just not connecting when the door was closed.

I solved this by simply bending the wire part of the switch up so it connected with the door pin. Is this simply what needed doing or is something missing?

Hope that makes sense...

Had exactly the same issue and solved it using exactly the same method wink That was approximately a month ago and the drivers door never opened unwanted again.
