It is a good price for an 'S' but interior is horrific IMO

I thought it was well priced in the current climate and just needs a retrim in something slightly less offensive! When you say 'serious' what have you found out?

Can you post what the serious problems are? Or PM me please if its not suitable for an open forum.

I noticed the car has been for sale several times this year, in May on Autotrader, then June at a different dealer, then September for sale privately at £18,500 stating it needs work and no evidence of a rebuild. Seems to be some history on the car....

I went to test drive this car in September chaps and, in my opinion, it's in need of an engine rebuild as the tappets were as noisy as the exhaust.

So, at least £8k to sort the engine (possibly) and another £4k to get rid of that absolutely hideous interior.

I think someone would be looking at a possible extra £15k to have that car sorted....

Black and red are an awesome combo. Grow some man potatoes and embrace the coolness. Its pure hasslehoff.

As for the engine rebuild that's pure speculation till you pull the cams or remove the engine and look in the sump. It says its had a 5.5k overhaul.

Was told from a tvr dealer that this car has done the circuit and from the repair bills and when they fixed the car....maybe a serious accident that has gone unrecorded

Autotrader £29995 is that a realistic figure in current market I had an s 2 years back which I didn't have long as I didn't get on with it but sold for a shade under £20k have they become more desirable ....

Yes. All TVR's, but particularly the rarer ones like the Tuscan S command a solid premium these days.

Although as this one is by all accounts a bit of a dog, a decent one should be worth a fair bit more if it sells at that price.

Unless I'm mistaken it appears to have gone up in value by £9k with the current dealer (photos seem identical) so maybe they're covering themselves just in case...
