Been having some trouble with the fuel pump not kicking in and realised that the immobiliser green light comes on, after a few seconds flashes but then nothing else happens. I thought a red light is supposed to come on? Also, the fob appears to do nothing when you push it against the socket. I've checked the fuses & immobiliser box connections. Anyone got any other ideas or do I need a new immobiliser?

So you are not getting the fuel pump to run, is the engine turning over on the starter?

how old is the car/ My immobiliser died last year on a 2000 model Mk1.

I wasn't getting the fuel pump priming or the starter motor turning over. It's 2000 year model. After bridging out the immobiliser the fuel pump primed and the engine turned over so it looks like a new immobiliser unit.
